We have commissioned a series of podcasts createdespecially for you to enjoy at a particular time and place.

Imagine there was a soundtrack to those small momentswhen you find yourself alone, brushing your teeth, in the bath,watching the rain stream down your living room window,or when your tucked up in bed with a hot drink but unableto sleep.

In the 2011 spring season we brought you moments byKazuko Hohki, Inua Ellams, Peggy Shaw, John Hegley andHofesh Shechter. This season we bring you new momentscreated by Nic Green, Nick Whitfield and Josie Long.

The 14th TaleA free flowing mellifluous narrative that tellsthe hilarious exploits of a natural bornmischief growing from the clay streets ofNigeria to the roof tops of Dublin, and finallyto London. Inua vividly recreates thecharacters that punctuate his upbringing indeft and beautiful poetry, while challengingthe audience’s expectations of what it is to bea young, black male in London today.

StilledA photographic performance marathon

Combining performance, music and photography, Stilled is adurational dance piece performed both for a human audienceand a bank of silent, all-seeing pinhole cameras,choreographed by David Harradine.

Stilled features a live, improvised music score by JamieMcCarthy and light score by Hansjorg Schmidt. Audiences arefree to come and go throughout the duration of the piece.

Three men arrive by car at a remote house in the countryside.Who are they? Where are they? Are those stuffed beavers onthe wall? Then the Vikings arrive.

This is a play about men and all their crap, about myths andwhat they’re for and about the weather and how it blows allthe other stuff away anyway.

Commissioned by Corn Exchange Newbury. Developed as part of Fuel at theRoundhouse and the Jerwood Residencies at Cove Park. Originally funded by ArtsCouncil England. Production time in kind provided by artsdepot. Workshops on toursupported by the Ernest Cook Trust.

Fuel brings you a haven within the hubbub of a festival:five short experiences to celebrate the simple things in life byLewis Gibson, David Harradine, The London Snorkelling Team,Frauke Requardt and Barnaby Stone. A table with a story totell, a band bursting at the seams, a sound journey througha good book, a surreal and mesmerising dance, and aninstallation that takes flight – each found inside a gardenshed for you to discover.

Electric Hotel is a lonely, bizarre and beautiful outdoorspectacle; a uniquely designed, fly-by-night hotel brought tovivid life through dance and sound. Sitting on the outsidelooking in, the audience snatch glimpses of the do-not-disturb lives unfolding behind the floor to ceiling windows.

Wearing headphones to eavesdrop on the internal spacesof the building they watch the residents in their privaterooms: natural habits, unnatural fantasies and wildlyeccentric housekeeping.
