Source Data : PIREPS and JobCard B737-900ER period 2007 present, to find the hours life of each fuel filter
Removal Period : All B737-900 ER fuel filter replacement fleets areused to calculate the life hours of each fuel filter
Number of Removal : 206 times since the first 737-900ER come to Lion Air
Purpose : Review&Suggest new interval of fuel filter for 2010

The Weibull formula is using the Two Parameter type:
- = 5.08 ,meant the kind of failure is wear out type
- = 1,952 Hours ,meant this hours, around 63.2% probably going failure
- MTTF = 1,794 ,meant this hours describe average time to failure ofFuel Filter
The graph above, show the probability that fuel filter will still reliable to finish itsduty to filter the fuel, the 737-900ER fuel filter MTTF showed 1,794 Hours andonly reliable with the probability of success around 52%.

Comparison 2008, 2009 and This Year (2010)
- By looking the MTTF number, from 2,757 hours become 1,976 hours and
then 1,794 hours
- This means that the reliability of fuel filter itself become worst
Above control chart told us from 2008 (6,000 Hours Interval), 2009-Mar10 (2,000Hours Interval) and Apr10-present (1,500 Hours Interval)
We could see that the last decision regarding 1,500 Hours Interval replacementbring the closer to the fuel clogging experience

The clogging that is caused by overlap replacement, should be minimizeduntil the littlest one, better to be nil.
To minimize the suddenly clogging either in the air or taxi phase, its better to
re-decide the interval time of fuel filter replacement.
Based on Reliability Function, the probability of success will be used
between 80 % and 100 %
80% Probability of Success will give the hours of life around 1,450
hours of interval replacement
85% Probability of Success will give the hours of life around 1,350
hours of interval replacement.
90% Probability of Success will give the hours of life around 1,250
hours of interval replacement
96% Probability of Success will give the hours of life around 1,100hours of interval replacement
