Under the leadership of Coach Wes McGee and Coach Mike Messner, Franklin Township Wrestling Club (FTWC) was crowned Central Jersey Midget League with an undefeated record of 16-0, and became Tournament champions for the 3rd straight year. Our Raritan Valley team continued to be competitive as well as we had another strong season with medals winners at the end of the year league tournament. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy, and that is its only reward. One of our favorite motto’s in the club is “Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard”. Our success has been a culmination of hard work and dedication from everybody within FTWC which includes the kids, parents, and coaches. This club would not be where it is today without rainmakers like our coaching staff. Our kids are blessed to have the leaders we do. Their commitment to the sport of wrestling is second to none.  On Friday September 28th, FTWC will host its 4th annual Golf Tournament at the Bunker Hill Golf Course. Since we are a self funded organization, we need to raise monies to cover our seasonal expenses. We have a 501 c 3 status and we are a non-profit organization. Our tax id # is 05-0604589.  We appreciate any support you can provide for our golf tournament. We would love to have you golf with us for the day ($125.00/golfer) or if possible bring your own foursome. In addition, we are looking for flag ($200.00) and hole sponsors ($150.00). You can send a check to our P.O. Box listed below if you would like to donate. Finally, we will be spending some time during the day to raffle off some donated items. If you would like to donate any items or have connections with other companies that can donate items, please let us know.  We continue to make an investment in our Youth where the return on our investment is far greater than any we can make. Sir Winston Churchill said it best when he said “we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. The FTWC family understands and embraces those words as we have sponsored the Piscataway DYFS foster children and the local Franklin Food Bank over the past few years. We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past six years. We have had many victories and state wrestling champions. We have set high goals for our club and have achieved many of them. But we realize that while goals nourish the heart, it is purpose that feeds the soul. It is with that purpose that we shape tomorrow’s world by what we teach our Youth today, on and off the wrestling mat.
