What is OTT TV for French Broadcasters ?

Result of a 2 years intensive work group to achieve a European open standard for an HBB solution, based on internet standardized

solutions. Insurance to be present on all compatible connected TV, and easy to propose a new content directly with the TV program.

Common interest between private and public broadcasters, with France Télévisions

and TF1

for coordination and official

representation of French broadcasters

in the steering board of the European HbbTV Consortium.

Official support last summer of the CSA, the broadcast French regulator,

to allow the French broadcasters to launch HbbTV

services on their TV programs. The authority launch this month an official Connected TV working

main French retailers (reality since 2011).

• Quick upgrade of DTT French multiplexes to support HbbTV content on the national network.
