Thirteenth Sunday In Ordinary Time
In today’s Gospel we see how Jesus, on his way to Jerusalem, sent “messenger on
ahead of Him.” To be the messengers of God, we must know well what it is God wants to say
and do through us, as he sends us out to bring his love to others.
In the month of June, you were the
“messenger of God” in bringing hope to the poor. Your gifts enabled the Society of
St. Vincent de Paul to assist families with food and utility bills.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, It was an honor and pleasure for me to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving with you on June 11th. All of your prayers and support that you have shown me over the years have meant a great deal to me and have certainly helped me to become the priest I am today. To those of you who have been praying for me from afar, came to my Mass of Thanksgiving and the awesome reception after Mass, to those who set up and prepared for the reception and helped make the Mass so beautiful from music to lectors to ushers, and for all of you who generously gave me wonderful cards and gifts I am sincerely grateful to you all. Please continue to pray for me and my classmates as we begin our priestly ministry at our parishes on July 1st. Know that you are all in my prayers. All of you are welcome to St. Edward’s any time. May God continue to bless you all.
In Christ,
Fr. Dominic Clemente 4350 N. Sunnyside Ave.
