Welcome to the cloud.

• What is it? Floriani Total Control Universe is our new addition to the already

amazing FTCU software program. This allows us to go out on the internet

and have access to hundreds of additional designs, fonts and remarkable

editing functions.

• The following exercise will acquaint you with how to create an exciting new

design while ‘in the cloud’, save it to your computer and prepare it for

stitching.

SIGN in using your email and password.

This looks exciting!!!! Let’s click on load more designs

Show up to 50 new designs at a time!!!

Here’s a sweet

design to use.

I’d like to change

the color of the

lettering on both

Tea and Time.

Just click the

small arrow to

the right of the

color chip and

you can choose a

color of your

choice!

I would also

like to change

the font type.

Now click the

small arrows

to the left of

the color

chips to open

the font

selections

available.

Notice the

slider bar

on the

right. That

means there

is lots

more!!! Just

keep

scrolling

until you

find a style

you think

you will

like. Select

it and take a

look. If you

don’t like it

choose

another.

Love this!

Now it is

time to save

it to my

computer.

Click on the Save as WAF which is our

special FTCU file we will bring into

our software.

Be sure to save your design with a new name and to a

location that you will easily be able to locate . You can

see I have FLORIANI folder on my C drive with a

FTCU subfolder, then Designs and finally MARILYN.

That is where I like to keep all the designs I create

myself.

Now it is time to bring the design into my FTCU

software so I can save it to be stitched on my

favorite embroidery machine. Left click on

BROWSER and navigate to the folder where your

design is.

Click on Design to see

all the designs in the

folder you have

chosen.

Yikes-Look at all the color

changes!

We want to select color sort to

reduce them.

Left click on the COLOR SORT

tool

Now I want to choose a fabric

to stitch my design on and have

Walt’s recipes for perfect

embroidery results make

adjustments for me

AUTOMATICALLY!

Click on SAVE TO SEW.

Pick your fabric type. I’ve

chosen Cotton Percale and I

Didn’t Digitize options.

I’ve picked Solid and Dense

since the flower portions have

some dense fill areas.

Click NEXT

We have choices here. You can

de-select any options you don’t

want changed. In this example, I

am leaving them all checked and

letting Walt’s expertise handle it

all!

Click , NEXT

LIFE is good!! Tells me exactly

which of our Floriani stabilizers to

use and even tells me the correct

needle to select for precision

perfect results!

Can it get any easier???

Click FINISH

Now it’s time to save the file so

we can stitch it on our machine.

Left click on

FILE and then

Save As

This box appears and you can

now select your machines file

type to stich it out.

I like to save it twice.

Once as a WAF file (This is our

FTCU native file format which is

always completely changeable)

and also as my embroidery

machine(s)format.

You can save your machine file in

your computer or onto a USB

stick or other media that your

machine is capable of using.
