E.L, Bisa Kdei Win Big At #VG-MAs 2016 | Full List Of Winners

he 17th edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been held.

The ceremony which took place at the In-

ternational Conference Centre on Satur-day saw rapper E.L winning most awards including the overall Artiste of the Year, Afropop Song of the Year with “Me Naa Bo Po” , Hiplife/Hip Hop Artiste of the Year, Music Producer of the Year for “Mi-naa Bo Po” and Music Video of the Year

for “Shelele”.

The next big winner on the night was Bisa Kdei who picked the Most Popular Song of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year, Highlife Artiste of the Year with “Mansa” and Album of the Year “Break-through”.

Last year’s winner, Stonebwoy only man-aged two awards on the night. He won both Reggae and Dancehall categories; Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year

with his “Go Higher” song.

The shock of the night was Atom win-ning the Hiplife Song of the Year catego-ry with a refill of Gasmilla’s Telemo song.

The night saw performances from the likes of Sarkodie, Efya, R2Bees, Wizkid, Stonebwoy, Obour, AB Crenstil, Bisa KDei, Joe Mettle, Kofi Kinaata and Un-sung winner Adoma.Below is the full list of winners on the night

apper cum pro-ducer, E.L has been crowned as Ghana’s Artiste of the Year at the 17th edition of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana

Music Awards.

He became the recipient of the topmost award at the annual music awards event introduced to reward musicians for their hard work from January 1, 2015 to De-cember 31, 2015.

E.L, born Elom Adablah picked the award from a category that comprised huge fa-vourite Bisa KDei, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, VVIP and DS Kofi Sarpong.

“I just want to say thank you guys for making my dreams come true. This goes out to anybody, if you have some dreams, don’t stop working towards them…Work towards your dreams”, he advised after picking his award from Mrs Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charterhouse and Honourable Mrs Elizabeth Ofo-su-Agyare, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

He also picked the Afro Pop Song of the Year and Music Producer of the Year awards with “Me Naa Bo Po” as well as the Hiplife/Hip Hop Artiste of the Year nod. His music video for Shelele direct-ed by Gyo Gyimah/Phamous Philms was also adjudged the best Music Video of the year.

The ceremony was held at the Accra In-ternational Conference Centre on Satur-day, May 7, 2016.
