Macfrut supply chain & business fair

A 700-square metre test field will be set up at the trade fair centre

so that visitors can see state-of-the-art technologies for the fruit and vegetable sector in action: seeders, transplanters, hoeing machines, fruit harvesters and all new field technologies presented in a dynamic way.

All’interno della fiera verrà realizzato un campo prova di 700 metri quadrati, per vedere all’opera le più moderne tecnologie per il settore orticolo e frutticolo: seminatrici, trapiantatrici, sarchiatrici, car-ri raccolta e tutte le nuove tecnologie di campo presentate in modo dinamico.

This event dedicated to tropical fruits examines highly topical issues, with theparticipation of opinion leaders

and experts in the field. After a successful first edition dedicated to mangoes and avocados, in 2019 the focus of the Congress will be on other products. It will be divided into two sessions: the first will focus on market trends in Europe and emerging products (Lime, Papaya, Passion Fruit), whereas the second will focus on Pineapples.

E’ l’evento dedicato alla frutta tropicale e approfondisce temi di grande attualità, tramite il coinvolgimento di opinion leader ed esperti del settore. Dopo il successo della prima edi-zione dedicata a mango e avocado, nel 2019 il congresso vedrà altri prodotti protagonisti. Articolato in due sessioni, la prima si focalizzerà sui trend di mercato in Europa e sui prodotti emergenti - Lime, Papaya e Passion Fruit; la seconda sessione si concentrerà sull’Ananas.

All the innovations in irrigation in a demonstration field,

conferences on the theme of water and the presence of the world’s leading companies in the field of plant engineering. AcquaCampus will comprise an exhibition space and a de-monstration area. The latter will feature a real dynamic 700-square metre field, where visitors will be able to see cutting-edge irrigation systems in operation.

Tutte le innovazioni dell’irrigazione in un campo dimostrativo, convegni dedicati al tema dell’acqua, la presenza delle aziende leader a livello mondiale nel settore dell’ im-piantistica. AcquaCampus sarà strutturato in una area espositiva e in una dimostrativa. Quest’ultima sarà un vero e proprio campo dinamico di 700 metri quadrati, dove si potranno vedere in funzione gli impianti di irrigazione tecnologicamente più avanzati.

AFRICA SUB-SAHARIANAPARTNER COUNTRY OF MACFRUT 2019

Sub-Saharan Africa is an area that offers great potential for the fruit and vegetable sector, which can play a key role in Africa’s economic development. In 2050, the Earth will be inhabited by 9.1 billion people, 34% more than at present. More than 50% of this increase will be con-centrated in nine countries, five of which are located in Sub-Saharan Africa. The focus will be on four macro themes: efficient water mana-gement, new frontiers in horticulture, technologies for agricultural companies, and small industrial processing plants.

L’Africa subsahariana è un’area dal grande potenziale per il settore ortofrutticolo, che può svolgere un ruolo chiave nello sviluppo del con-tinente africano. Nel 2050 la terra sarà popolata da 9,1 miliardi di per-sone, il 34% in più rispetto a oggi. Oltre il 50% di questo aumento sarà concentrato in nove Paesi, ben cinque situati nell’Africa subsahariana. Il focus sarà su quattro macro-temi: la gestione efficiente dell’acqua, le nuove frontiere dell’orticoltura, le tecnologie per le aziende agricole e i piccoli impianti per la trasformazione industriale.

PIEMONTE PARTNER REGION OF MACFRUT 2019

Piedmont is one of Italy’s most important regions for fruit and vegetable production, with apples as its key product. Its annual pro-duction amounts to 170,000 tonnes and mostly includes red apples. Kiwi production also plays a prominent role, since Piedmont is the second lar-gest kiwi producer region in Italy, accounting for approximately 20% of Italy’s supply, with potential volumes of 110,000 tonnes. The supply of peaches and nectarines, small fruits and the horticultural segment are also significant.

Il Piemonte è una delle Regioni più importanti nella produzione ortofrutticola italiana, il cui prodotto simbolo è la mela. La produzione annua è di 170.000 tonnellate concentrata prevalentemente nelle mele rosse. Molto importante anche il kiwi, seconda regione produttrice a li-vello nazionale, concentrando circa il 20% dell’offerta italiana, con quantitativi potenzialmente in grado di raggiungere le 110.000 tonnellate. Di rilievo anche l’offerta di pesche e nettarine, piccoli frutti e il comparto orticolo.
