Lights on the Lake

Special walking preview on 14 & 15 Nov from 5-9pm and visitors can choose to park at either the Wegmans
Landing (Griffin Visitor Center), Salt Museum or Willow Bay lots. This is a great opportunity to get some fresh air
and exercise. Walkers can cover as much of the two mile stretch as they desire and should dress for the weather.
Shuttle service is not provided. Holiday characters will be on the trail and refreshments will be available for sale.
Cars are not allowed on the trail for this special evening but will be admitted to the show beginning Thursday,
November 17. Please leave pets at home. Donations collected on Monday, November 14 will benefit the Friends of
Onondaga County Parks (Friends of Beaver Lake, Friends of the Zoo, Friends of Carpenter's Brook and the Friends
of Historic Onondaga Lake. Donations collected on Tuesday, November 15 will benefit the Rescue Mission.
16 Nov only Dogs are welcome at the Lights on the Lake for the special Dog Walk from 5-9pm donations
collected will benefit the Humane Association.
17 Nov to 8 Jan 2012 from 5 - 10pm • Open Nightly except New Year's Eve
Admission:
Monday-Thursday - $8.00 per car (including motorcycles) - show your Wegmans Shoppers Club Card
for $2 off on Mondays and Tuesdays. Visitors with a Driver's Village or Burdick Automotive license
plate frame will get $2 off on Wednesdays.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday - $12 per car (including motorcycles).
$75 per motorcoach

7 Jan at 11pm sharp, run thru Wegmans Lights on the Lake
This 4 mile (approx.) run begins promptly at 11pm at the Griffin Visitor Center. Runners go to Willow Bay and
back. No walkers please, lights will be turned off at midnight.

Watertown Annual Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony
The City of Watertown and the Downtown Business Association presents the Annual Downtown Tree Lighting
Ceremony on Thursday, December 1st at 5:30pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in their sleigh to help the Mayor
and City Council turn on the City's holiday tree along with music and light display. The 22 minute music and light
display will run every 30 minutes each night from 4:30pm-10:00pm from December 1st-January 2nd. During the
event, mulled cider and hot cocoa will be served free of charge courtesy of the Downtown Business Association and
Johnny D's.

Croghan will come alive for the 14th annual Christmas in Croghan. Businesses will stay open late (many offering

petting zoo, horse and wagon rides, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride through the streets of Croghan and be at the

2nd Annual Lights on the River
Following a successful launch in December, Lights on the River, Inc. has announced their 2nd Annual Lights on the
River event to be held at the Lisbon Beach & Campground. This year’s event will start on Saturday December 17th
and run through Friday December 23rd. This year, Lights on the River is looking to expand their support to more
North Country food pantries. If you are interested in making a donation or setting up a display in this wonderful
event, please contact Scott Wilhelm at315-854-2657 or Amy Fortin at 315-528-5660, or email us at
[email protected]. Businesses, groups, organizations and families throughout the North Country are
encouraged to participate in this new holiday tradition. It is FREE to enter a display and it's an opportunity to
showcase your holiday spirit to thousands of people coming from all over the Northern New York and Southern
Canada. Lights on the River is a local non-profit working towards our 501c3 status. Lights on the River will be
working hard to benefit local food pantries again this year. You can find us on the web at
