Welcome to the Carshalton Frost Fair

Carshalton is a beautiful village. The ponds and nearby historic buildings and grounds provide the ideal location for a community event such as today’s Frost Fair. We hope that today marks the start of an exciting annual event. Please let us know what you think? Would you like to get involved?

Pretty much everyone involved today lives locally. We would like to thank all the performers and volunteers who have made such a contribution, helping plan and taking part in today’s event. It’s also great that so many producers from our nearby Farmers’ and Craft Markets are supporting the event. We hope that you will support the stalls, where you can pick up plenty of tasty treats and other festive gifts, as well as enjoy the various entertainments.

There’s plenty going on inside Honeywood Museum. Once you’ve been inside and explored the newly refurbished museum, why not find out more about how you can get involved with the Friends of Honeywood Museum. And if you are interested in local sustainability community projects, events and social enterprise activity, make a note of EcoLocal’s contact details. We have a free e-news we send out once or twice a month with information on various local activities.

After today’s event a number of us will probably retire to the welcome of the Hope pub in West Street. This pub is now run by the local community and is a great place to chat and relax.

We hope you enjoyed today’s event
