airs 3 spring training games and 145 regular season games.

Media CredentialsCincinnati Reds media credentials will be issued only to reporters or photographers for accredited media. Reds season credentials only will be issued to those media outlets that cover the Reds on a daily basis. Credentials requests can be made online at https://credentials.mlb.com. Please allow 24-hour notice for all daily credential requests. Under no circumstances are media credentials to be transfered from person to person. Violation of this policy will result in notification of the Major League office of the violation, dismissal of the media member from Great American Ball Park and confiscation of the violator’s media credential for the remainder of the season.

Rob butchER - Director of Media Relations

Rob Butcher was named to his position on January 6, 1997. He is in his 21st season in professional baseball, his 13th with the Reds. In December 2006, Butcher received Major League Baseball’s Robert O. Fishel Award for public relations excellence. In 1988 he began his front office career as an intern with the Class AAA Columbus Clippers and worked there 5 seasons before he was named assistant director of media relations for the New York Yankees in March 1993. In June 1993, he was promoted to New York’s director of media relations and held that position for 3 seasons until December 21, 1995. On behalf of Major League Baseball, Butcher has worked 11 All-Star Games (1994, 1995, 1999, 2001-08) and 11 World Series (1995, 1997, 2000-08). In March 2006 and March 2009 he served as MLB’s press liaison for Team USA during the first 2 World Baseball Classics. Butcher graduated in 1981

from Wilmington (OH) High School and in 1985 from the University of Dayton with a degree in broadcasting and journalism. In August 1989, he received his master’s degree in sport management from The Ohio State University. In September 2001, Rob was inducted into the Clinton County (OH) Sports Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Dana, live in Park Hills, Kentucky.

lARRy hERMs - Assistant Director of Media Relations

Larry Herms is in his 12th season with the Reds, his fourth as assistant director of media relations. He joined the Reds as a media relations intern in January 1998 and was named media relations assistant in November of that year. On behalf of Major League Baseball, Herms has worked 3 National League Championship Series (2006-08). He began his baseball career in 1997 as an intern in the front office of the Class AAA American Association. A Queen City native, he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Cincinnati in 1998. Herms is engaged to Maggie Peter and resides in Mt. Adams.

jAMIE RAMsEy - Assistant Director of Media Relations

Jamie Ramsey is in his 12th season in the Reds organization, his ninth season in the media relations department. He was named to his current position in 2006. Prior to that, he served as media relations assistant and as an intern in that department. Ramsey joined the organization in 1997 as a member of the Reds’ grounds crew at Cinergy Field and worked in that capacity until his promotion to the front office in 2000. A 1999 graduate of Miami University, Jamie is an avid fan of bowling and yoga and resides in Cincinnati.

Press BoxThe writing and broadcast press box is located on Level 3 of Great American Ball Park. The press box is open 3 hours and 30 minutes prior to gametime. The press dining room, located on the press box level, is open 2 hours prior to game time. A delicious buffet dinner is available to credentialed media members at a cost of $7.

Clubhouse AccessOnly media with approved credentials have access to the clubhouses. The clubhouses are open 3 hours and 30 minutes prior to the start of each game and close 1 hour prior to the start of each game. Following the game, the clubhouses will open no later than 10 minutes after the final out. The home and visiting team clubhouses are located on Field Level. The Reds’ dugout is located on the first base side, the visitors’ dugout on the third base side. Until batting practice is over, media can access the field through the tunnels adjacent to each clubhouse. After batting practice is over, access to and from the field may be made only through the tunnel on the outfield side of the third base dugout. Members of the media are not permitted in the training room, players’ lounge or equipment areas.

Dark RoomsA photographer dark room for media outlets affiliated with The Associated Press is available in the Field Level tunnel, across from the interview room. Contact Al Behrman at (513) 241-2386. Media ParkingThe media relations department does not have individual gameday parking passes. For information on monthly parking, contact Central Parking at (513) 946-8100.

Media InterviewsReds uniformed personnel will be available for interviews prior to on-field stretching and following batting practice. Interview requests during batting practice must be scheduled through the Reds media relations department.

Use of PhotographyMedia outlets needing use of Reds’ current photographs may contact the Reds creative services department at (513) 765-7029 or [email protected]. At this time, the Reds no longer grant permission for historical images prior to the 2000 season. Accredited media members may use Reds photographs for non-endorsement projects only. All photographs and/or materials loaned by the Cincinnati Reds must be returned in good condition within 30 days. Media outlets not returning photographs and/or materials within 30 days will be subject to a $50 fee per item and will be subject to a $250 fee per item for any photographs and/or materials damaged or lost.

Still Camera PositionsPositions for photographers are located on the home plate and outfield sides of each dugout, a position shared with television cameras. With the exception of game broadcast cameras, still photographers have priority over local videographers. Still photographers for The Associated Press, The Cincinnati Enquirer, Dayton Daily News, The Columbus Dispatch and Major League Baseball Photos have priority.

Roving CamerasTelevision stations are prohibited from using a “roving” camera inside Great American Ball Park with-out the permission of the media relations department. At no time are camera crews allowed into the seating areas of Great American Ball Park. Interviews in a roving situation must be conducted on the right-field porch area.

Reds on the Airwaves

RadioIn 2009, for the third straight season Hall of Famer Marty Brennaman will be joined in the Reds on Radio network booth by Thom Brennaman or Jeff Brantley. The Reds on Radio network is one of the largest in professional sports, with 59 affiliates in 7 states. The 50,000-watt flagship station is 700 WLW (AM 700) in Cincinnati. Twenty spring training games and all 162 regular-season games are broadcast on 700 WLW Radio.

TelevisionFOX Sports Ohio holds the exclusive local cable and telecast rights for Cincinnati Reds baseball. FOX Sports Ohio will cablecast 145 games in 2009. George Grande and Chris Welsh, the longest-running TV duo in club history, will team up for their 17th season together for play-by-play and color analysis. Thom Brennaman and Jeff Brantley also will spend time in the Reds TV booth.

Reds Broadcasters

Reds radio announcer Marty Brennaman received the Ford C. Frick Award on July 23, 2000, in ceremonies at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. The award is presented each year by the Hall of Fame to a broadcaster “for major contributions to the game of baseball.” Brennaman, Red Barber (WSAI, 1934-38) and Russ Hodges (WFBE, 1932) are the only Reds announcers ever to receive the Hall of Fame’s prestigious broadcasting award. On May 2, 2005 he was inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame in Salisbury, NC. On November 5, 2005 he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago. In 1999 he was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. In 2009 he was selected by the American Sportscasters Association as one of the Top 50 broadcasters of all time. The 2009 season will be Brennaman’s 45th as a broadcaster, his 36th in Cincinnati. He joined the Reds

radio team in 1974 and for 31 seasons (1974-2004) shared the 700 WLW Radio booth with Reds Hall of Fame pitcher Joe Nuxhall. Brennaman has been named Ohio Sportscaster of the Year 13 times, most recently in 2006. He won the Virginia Sportscaster of the Year Award 4 times while broadcasting basketball games for the American Basketball Association’s Virginia Squires, baseball games for the New York Mets’ Class AAA affiliate in Norfolk and football games for both Virginia Tech and William & Mary. He also has broadcast games during the NCAA’s men’s basketball tournament, including 15 regional tournaments and 11 Final Fours. Brennaman will broadcast about 45 games on radio with his son, Thom. Marty also has 2 daughters, Dawn and Ashley, and 4 grandchildren, Dylan & Cal Venerus and Ella Mae & Luke Brennaman.

Thom Brennaman is in his third season as a member of the Reds Radio and Reds TV broadcast teams. On 10/4/06 he signed a 4-year contract through the 2010 season. The Cincinnati native will work alongside his father, Hall of Famer Marty Brennaman, for selected radio broadcasts on 700 WLW and also will sit in the booth for Reds TV broadcasts on FOX Sports Ohio. Thom will broadcast approximately 90 games for the Reds while continuing to serve as one of Major League Baseball’s lead announcers on the Saturday Game of the Week and post-season telecasts for national television rightsholder FOX. Before joining the Reds he worked for 9 seasons on Arizona Diamondbacks radio and TV broadcasts. Brennaman joined the D’Backs after 6 seasons with the Chicago Cubs working for both WGN radio and TV. He was hired by the Cubs after 2 years in Cincinnati broadcasting Reds TV games alongside Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench. The Brennamans worked

together during a Baseball Network televised game in the 1990s. One of the country’s most versatile talents, Thom is part of the NFL and college football broadcast teams for FOX, and in each of the last 3 years he was the lead announcer for the worldwide telecasts of the college football BCS championship games. He was the play-by-play voice for that network for 6 Cotton Bowl telecasts from 2001-06 and also has handled University of Cincinnati men’s basketball local broadcast duties. Brennaman is a graduate of Anderson High School and Ohio University. Thom, his wife Polly and their famly live in Cincinnati.

George Grande, a 41-year veteran of the broadcasting business, has been the play-by-play voice on Reds TV since 1993. He and partner Chris Welsh are working together for the 17th consecutive season. They are the longest-running TV duo in Reds history. A native of New Haven, CT, George has covered Major League Baseball since 1965. Since 1980 he has hosted the National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee ceremonies in Cooperstown. George also anchored the first-ever ESPN SportsCenter telecast on September 7, 1979 and spent 10 seasons with the all-sports network anchoring that award-winning show and covering the World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, Super Bowl, NCAA basketball tournament, College World Series and major college football games. From 1989-90 he broadcast Yankees games on WPIX, and from 1991-92 he broadcast Cardinals baseball games before he joined the Reds TV team in 1993. In 1967 George began his

broadcasting career as the sports director and news director of the University of Southern California radio station, KUSC-FM, followed by radio stints at KNX in Los Angeles; WERI in Westerly, RI; and WNHC in New Haven, CT. He completed his radio broadcast career by handling the Boston Red Sox’ pre-game and post-game shows on WMEX. Grande also anchored local TV sports telecasts at WTNH in New Haven, CT and at WCBS in New York. He started broadcasting baseball games in 1971 for the West Haven (CT) Yankees in the Eastern League. George graduated in 1969 from the University of Southern California, where he played baseball for 4 seasons and was a member of the 1968 College World Series championship team. While at USC he played with 14 future Major Leaguers, including Hall of Famer Tom Seaver and slugger Dave Kingman. Grande is on the board of directors for USA Baseball.

Chris Welsh enters his 17th season as Reds TV analyst following a 5-year Major League career with the Padres, Expos, Rangers and Reds. Chris went 21-31 with a 4.45 ERA, 8 complete games and 3 shutouts in 122 career appearances, including 75 starts. He and partner George Grande are working together for the 17th consecutive season. They are the longest-running TV duo in Reds history. He is a graduate of Cincinnati’s St. Xavier High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, where his baseball coach was Hall of Famer Robin Roberts. In addition to his television work, Chris is a partner in Champions Sports Academy, which builds and operates numerous sports training facilities throughout the country. He also teaches pitching in the offseason, is the featured speaker at several national baseball forums and publishes articles on baseball.

Baseball’s Father/Son Broadcast Teams

Jeff Brantley is in his third season as a member of the Reds Radio and Reds TV broadcast teams. On 10/31/06 he signed a 4-year contract through 2010. After he retired as a player following the 2001 season, Brantley joined ESPN as an in-game analyst and also as a studio analyst on the network’s popular Baseball Tonight show. In March 2006, he broadcast several telecasts of the inaugural World Baseball Classic. Brantley spent 14 seasons in the Major Leagues and enjoyed some of his best years while pitching for the Reds from 1994-1997, when he posted a 2.64 ERA and 88 saves. He still ranks tied for fourth on the club’s all-time saves list. In 1996 he earned the Rolaids Relief Man Award after leading the National League with 44 saves. His 44 saves that season remains the Reds’ single-season record. Brantley also pitched for the Giants, Cardinals, Phillies and Rangers. He was an NL All-Star for San Francisco in 1990 and finished his career with

172 saves and a 3.39 ERA in 615 games. Brantley is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he led the Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the College World Series. He was a 4-year letterwinner for MSU and was named first-team All-American in 1985. Brantley has been actively involved in several youth baseball groups like Garth Brooks’ “Teammates for Kids” and an inner-city baseball program in Jackson, Mississippi. Jeff and wife Ashley have 2 children, Elizabeth and Mason. He has two other children, Emily and Murphy.

Jeff Piecoro enters his 11th season as a host of FOX Sports Ohio’s Emmy Award-winning pre-game show, Reds Live. He also has hosted the Reds Live post-game wrap. He has been with Fox Sports Net for 12 years. Piecoro, who played football at the University of Kentucky from 1980-84, serves as the color analyst for Wildcats football games. He also the television play-by-play announcer for the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team.

Jim Day is in his eighth season as a host of FOX Sports Ohio’s Emmy Award-winning pre-game show, Reds Live, and in his sixth season behind the mic of the Reds Live post-game wrap. He is an Emmy Award-winning reporter with 20 years’ experience in sports broadcasting. After graduating from Otterbein College, Day worked at WSYX-TV as an anchor/reporter in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Following a 3-year stay at WFTS-TV in Tampa, Day returned to his roots to work for Fox Sports Net Ohio. He is also a host of Blue Jackets Live, the pre-game and post-game shows for the National Hockey League’s Columbus Blue Jackets. Jim has covered every major sport for FOX Sports Ohio.

Christian Roberts is the producer of Reds baseball on television rightsholder FOX Sports Ohio. He joined the Reds TV broadcast team in 2006 as a director and also produced the Emmy Award-winning Reds Live pre-game show. In the off-season, he directs for the Columbus Blue Jackets NHL team. Roberts came to Cincinnati from New York, where he covered the Yankees on the YES Network’s production team from its debut in 2001 through the 2005 season. From 1997-2006 he also was a member of the World Series and All-Star Game production crews for Major League Baseball International, which broadcasts those jewel events around the world and on the Armed Forces Network. Roberts is from Hampton, New Hampshire and lives in the Hyde Park area of Cincinnati.

Brian Hunterman is the director of Reds baseball on television rightsholder FOX Sports Ohio, where he has produced and directed live events and other sports programming since 1999. He has worked on Reds and Columbus Blue Jackets pre-game shows, Reds Classic Rewind, Xavier, UC and MAC basketball and the high school football game of the week. In 2008 Hunterman won an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award for his coverage of the Blue Jackets. The Seymour, Indiana, native and Indiana University graduate also worked for the Richmond Braves, Reds, WLWT-TV 5 and other networks covering college and professional sports. Hunterman and his wife, Paula, live in Delhi. They have 3 children, Sarah, Emily and Ben.

Dave ArmbrusterDave Armbruster enters his 24th season as producer/engineer for the Reds on Radio. For 15 years he was the network coordinator responsible for the affiliates on the Reds Radio Network, which included outlets in 7 states and broadcasts that could be heard in 50 states on flagship station 700 WLW. A Cincinnati native, Armbruster has been with 700 WLW for 28 years. He also oversees the Bengals Radio Network, as well as the radio broadcasts for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier University Musketeers.

In his second stint working for Reds TV, Roy Alfers is in his second full season directing the FOX Sports Ohio broadcasts. He directed the club’s brodcasts from 1982-90, including the historic game in which Pete Rose broke Ty Cobbs all-time hit record. Alfers spent 14 seasons directing Atlanta Braves telecasts for TBS and Fox South, where he won 6 Emmy Awards for his work on MLB and NBA games. He has been a producer/director for Xavier basketball for 7 seasons on FOX Sports Ohio and also worked SEC and ACC basketball and football broadcasts for Raycom Sports. For the last 4 seasons Alfers produced and directed pre-season football games for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, and for the last 10 years he has worked Ohio State University basketball telecasts.

Major League Baseball Rules of InterestCalculating the “Magic Number”: Determine the number of games to be played by the team in the lead.

Add one to that number. Subtract from that figure the number of games ahead in the loss column from the closest opponent.

Determining Earned Run Average: Multiply earned runs by nine, then divide total by innings pitched.

Determining Batting Average: Divide total hits by total at-bats.

Determine Slugging Percentage: Divide the total bases of all safe hits by the total number of at-bats.

Determining On-Base Percentage: Divide hits + walks + hit-by-pitch, by at-bats + walks + hit-by-pitch + sacrifice flies.

Determining Fielding Percentage: Divide the total number of putouts and assists by the total of putouts, assists and errors.

The Winning Pitcher: The starting pitcher will be credited with the win only if the pitcher has pitched at least five complete innings and his team not only is in the lead when he is replaced, but remains in the lead the remainder of the game. EXCEPTION: The “must-pitch-five-complete-innings” rule in respect to the starting pitcher shall be in effect for all games of six or more innings. In a five-inning game, credit the starting pitcher with a game won only if he has pitched at least four complete innings and his team not only is in the lead when he is replaced, but remains in the lead the remainder of the game. When the starting pitcher does not meet the preceding criteria and more than one relief pitcher is used, the victory shall be awarded on the following basis:

(1) When, during the tenure of the starting pitcher, the winning team assumes the lead and maintains it to the finish of the game, credit the victory to the relief pitcher judged by the official scorer to have been the most effective.

(2) Whenever the score is tied, the game becomes a new contest insofar as the winning and losing pitcher is concerned.

(3) Once the opposing team assumes the lead, all pitchers who have pitched up to that point are excluded from being credited with the victory except the current pitcher.

(4) The winning relief pitcher shall be the one who is the pitcher of record when his team assumes the lead and maintains it to the finish of the game. EXCEPTION: Do not credit a victory to a relief pitcher who is ineffective in a brief appearance, when a succeeding relief pitcher pitches effectively in helping his team maintain the lead. In such cases, credit the succeeding relief pitcher with the victory.

Earning a Save: Credit a pitcher with a save when he meets all of the following conditions; (1) He is the pitcher that finished the game won by his team. (2) He is not the winning pitcher. (3) He qualifies under one of the following conditions: a. He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning, or b. He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, at bat, or on

deck (that is, the potential tying run either already on base or is one of the first two batters he faces), or c. He pitches effectively for at least three innings.

Consecutive Game Hitting Streak: A consecutive game hitting streak shall not be terminated if the player’s plate appearance(s) results in a base on balls, hit batter, defensive interference or sac bunt. The streak shall terminate if the player has a sac fly and no hit. Hitting streaks do not carry over from season to season.

Consecutive Game Playing Streak: A consecutive game playing streak shall be extended if the player plays one-half inning on defense or if he completes a time at bat by reaching base or being put out. A pinch-running appearance shall not extend the streak. If a player is ejected from the game by an umpire before he can comply with the requirement of this rule, the streak shall continue.

Rain Delays: Pursuant to Rule 3.10(a), the manager of the home team shall be the sole judge as to whether a game shall be started because of unsuitable weather conditions or the unfit condition of the playing field, except for the second game of a doubleheader. Pursuant to Rule 3.10(c), the umpire in chief shall be the sole judge as to whether and when a game shall be suspended and as to whether and when play will be resumed. An umpire shall not call a game until at least 30 minutes after he has suspended play. He may continue the suspension as long as he believes there is any chance to resume play.

National League Curfew: There is no curfew in the National League. The game is in the hands of the umpires once it has started.

Major League Year: 172 days of service time constitutes a full year in the Major Leagues.

Rookie Status at the Major League Level: To be considered a rookie, a player must not have more than 130 at-bats, or 50 innings-pitched in the Major Leagues during a previous season or seasons, nor more than 45 days on a Major League roster during the Major League 25-player limit (excluding time in the military).

2009 Spring Training Schedule

Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida is the spring training site for the Reds and the summer home for their Florida State League and Gulf Coast League affiliates. Ed Smith Stadium and the surrounding complex is owned by the city of Sarasota and offers a wide variety of available space. The complex consists of four Major League training fields, a practice infield and covered batting tunnels. In 1998 the Reds moved their spring training and Florida instructional league operations to Sarasota from Plant City, Florida, where the club had trained since 1988.

In 2009 the Cincinnati Reds and their fans will spend their 12th and final spring training at the City of Sarasota Sports Complex in Sarasota, Florida. In 2010 the club will move into a new facility in Goodyear, Arizona.

The Sun Coast city has a long history of spring training. From the New York Giants’ first season there in 1924 to the Reds team of today, spring training has remained a constant in Sarasota for much of the last 85 years.

The Giants and legendary manager John McGraw were Sarasota’s first tenants, from 1924-27. The Boston Red Sox called Sarasota their spring home from 1933-58, except for a 4-year hiatus for World War II. The Red Sox arranged for the Los Angeles Dodgers to take their place in the spring of 1959. In 1960, the Chicago White Sox shifted their spring training headquarters from Tampa to Sarasota, beginning what would become the longest tenure in the city’s history. The White Sox held their operations in Sarasota for 28 years before moving to Arizona after the 1997 season.

The Reds took over Sarasota’ spring training complex beginning in 1998. In addition to running spring training, the Sarasota staff now operates the team’s high Class A affiliate in the Florida State League and a rookie team in the Gulf Coast League. The complex also is used year-round as the organization’s minor league rehabilitation center.

Goodyear, AZ

On July 14, 2008 the Cincinnati Reds and the City of Goodyear, Arizona finalized the terms on a binding use agreement that paved the way for the team to move its spring training facilities there in 2010.

The agreement includes a 20-year lease and two five-year team options.

The Reds broke ground on their new spring training complex on November 17, 2008.

“The proposed facilities in Goodyear are going to be some of the best in baseball,” said Reds President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Castellini. “We look forward to a working relationship with the city that will help our team prepare for the start of the Major League season every year.”

The Reds’ plans for their portion of the Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Sports Complex include a 40,700-square foot clubhouse, six full practice fields and two half fields.

They will share the complex and stadium with the Cleveland Indians. The Tribe’s instructional league team moved to Goodyear in September 2008, while their first Major League spring training camp will be held in the new facility in February 2009.

The main ballpark will seat 10,000 fans, including 500 premium box seats, 8,000 fixed seats and space for 2,000 spectators on a grassy berm in the outfield.

The stadium will be the centerpiece of Ballpark Village, a mixed-use development that will feature offices, shops, restaurants, housing, hotels and a conference center.

Goodyear is located 20 minutes west of downtown Phoenix.

In 2010, 15 Major League Baseball clubs will train in Arizona and 15 will train in Florida.

Reds in the Community

The Cincinnati Reds connect with fans throughout Reds Country primarily through the Reds Community Fund, the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum and the Reds Heads Kids Club. In 2009, more than 27,500 kids and coaches will benefit from Reds Community Fund programs and initiatives. Meanwhile, another 7,500 students will participate in education programs and youth camps through the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, with more than 3,000 kids ages 14 and under serving as members in the official kids club of the Reds.

Since its inception in 2001, the Reds Community Fund has been dedicated to improving the lives of youth through its baseball-themed outreach efforts. Programs include the Reds Rookie Success League; Youth Baseball and Softball Funding; Field Renovation, including the construction of the first “Miracle League” field in Greater Cincinnati; as well as the Youth Baseball “Match” program and Greater Cincinnati RBI (“Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities”).

REDS ROOkIE SUCCESS LEAGUEThe Reds Rookie Success League is a free, noncompetitive, coed, character-building program for 8-11 year olds in Greater Cincinnati, Butler County, Warren County, Louisville and Dayton. More than 1,500 kids and coaches will participate regionally in 2009. The program features complimentary medical, vision and dental screenings, plus field trips, equipment and uniforms for participants. Reds players and coaches “adopt” teams and make numerous visits as well.

FIELD RENOVATIONThis initiative has led to 234 field renovations throughout Reds Country. Fields are located in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Bridgetown, Maineville, Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington, Switzerland County, Indiana and Sarasota, Fla. Projects for 2009 include the “Miracle League” field at the Dunham Recreation Complex in Western Hills and “Brandon Phillips Field” at Clark Montessori School in Winton Place.

yOUTH TEAM FUNDINGThe youth baseball and softball funding program has expanded to include more than 280 teams. Organizations receive an average of $100 per child for uniform, equipment and operating expenses and are required to participate in community service activities.

TRIPLE PLAy PARTy SUITESA trio of climate-controlled suites available to the public at Great American Ball Park has been dubbed the Triple Play Party Suites. These left field hospitality areas are available for purchase on an individual game basis through the Reds Group Sales office. All suites offer outdoor stadium-style seats, indoor seating, TVs, private restrooms and exclusive catering staff. Suite #13 (a dedication to Dave Concepcion) can accommodate up to 35 people (30-person minimum). Suites #8 (Joe Morgan) and #24 (Tony Perez) can accommodate up to 32 people (24-person minimum). Larger groups may combine two or all three of the Triple Play Party Suites. The cost per person for the suites is $82 and includes a game ticket, catered buffet and beverages.

PARTy DECkS A & BGroups can enjoy the game from a covered deck down the first base line in right field, or they can take a seat in the Party Deck’s padded ballpark seating for up-close views of the game. The deck area and the adjacent 102 seats accommodate parties of up to 140, or the Party Deck can be divided for two smaller groups of 50-70. The price is $72 per person, and the package includes a game ticket, catered buffet and beverages.

REDLEGS LANDINGRedlegs Landing is ideal for mingling before & during the game on this open-air patio party area. Guests can take in the spectacular sightlines of the field, the out-of-town scores, and the state-of-the-art digital video scoreboard from this section of private ballpark seating. Redlegs Landing accommodates 51-80 people and costs $55 per person, which includes a game ticket, catered buffet and beverages.

FRONTGATE OUTDOOR LUXURy SUITELocated in the gap above the Owners Suite, the Frontgate Outdoor Luxury Suite features an awning covering half of the deck, an upscale bar, all-inclusive food and beverage service, TV monitors and game audio. The area also has outdoor patio furniture where guests can eat, drink and socialize while watching the game. An exclusive catering staff assists you with any needs and a private restroom is available for your group throughout your event. Book your group of 30-48 for $150 per person.

THE PICNIC TENTLocated in the Fan Zone and overlooking the Ohio River, this semi-private tent accommodates multiple groups of 25 or more (maximum capacity of 200) with a mix of table and chairs and high-top tables. THE CINCINNATI BELL RIVERBOAT DECkThe Cincinnati Bell Riverboat Deck is located above the Cincinnati Bell Technology Pavilion in center field! FOX SPORTS OHIO CHAMPIONS CLUBThe newly renovated FOX Sports Ohio Champions Club provides Reds fans with a new lounge with a wide-open floor plan and upscale bar, while also paying tribute to Reds’ championship teams with murals and other historical elements. Situated on the Club Level on the first-base side, the Champions Club features an all-inclusive buffet with pastas, pizzas, subs, stir fry and all the traditional ballpark fare, plus unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. A new outdoor bar with Club boxes and additional historical displays highlights this new area. Access to the Champions Club is included with Club and Club Home tickets, while Scout and Scout Box ticket holders can purchase access with an additional fee.

THE MACHINE ROOM GRILLEGreat American Ball Park’s brewpub, located in the left-field corner, is a dedication to the Big Red Machine, the Reds teams that dominated baseball in the 1970s. This spacious bar and grille has a blue-collar feel, much like the Reds team of the era. Brick and steel finishes, with an exposed ceiling, set the tone. Additional features of the brewpub include a mini electronic scoreboard, views of the playing field, mock foul poles, outside seats, the zamboni used at Cinergy Field and plenty of Reds memorabilia. Dishes include everything from burgers to pizza to barbeque.

THE RIVERFRONT CLUBLocated in the right-field section of the ballpark and overlooking the Ohio River is the Riverfront Club, which offers world-class cuisine from an award-winning chef. Access to this upscale restaurant and bar requires a membership. Premium Seat Holders enjoy a complimentary membership. Members can enjoy a meal before the game or enjoy full service while watching the game from the Riverfront Club’s three terraces or on the televisions located throughout the restaurant. THE DIAMOND CLUBFor guests who have purchased Diamond Seats, the exclusive Diamond Lounge, which is located directly behind home plate under the field-level seating, is one of the main perks. This exclusive area features beverage service and a gourmet buffet, as well as a window that looks directly into the tunnel that leads from the Reds clubhouse to the dugout. Guests also receive in-seat food and beverage service as part of their all-inclusive package.

DIAMOND SEATSThe most exclusive of the premium-seating options at Great American Ball Park are the Diamond Seats, which are located in the first eight rows directly behind home plate. The seats are wider than other seats in the ballpark (approximately 2 inches), are padded and fully upholstered. Perks for Diamond-Seat holders include access to the private Diamond Club, as well as in-seat food and beverage service. Diamond Seats at Great American Ball Park is an all-inclusive experience you won’t want to miss. Diamond Seats are $230 per game.

CLUB AND CLUB HOME SEATSDirectly above the field-level seats, Club Seats offer great views of the field and of the Ohio River, with exclusive access to the new FOX Sports Ohio Champions Club and membership to the Riverfront Club. SCOUT AND SCOUT BOX SEATSThe Scout and Scout Box Seats are located directly behind home plate and start with the ninth row. These sections were named as such because these are the seats that Major League scouts occupy to evaluate talent. These padded seats, which are about 2 inches wider than other seats in the ballpark, include a host of amenities, including in-seat food and beverage service and access to Scouts Alley, a private lounge for Scout Seat Holders only. Ticket holders in these sections also have access to the Riverfront Club and can purchase access to the all new FOX Sports Ohio Champions Club. Scout Box Seats are $77 per game and Scout Seats are $67 per game.

On November 21, 2008 longtime Reds and Major League Baseball official scorer Glenn Sample died at age 77. “Since 1980, Glenn was a fixture in the press box at Reds games. He was a remarkable person who touched all of our lives through his unwavering devotion to the Reds, the University of Cincinnati and our city,” said the Reds in a statement. “We are privileged to have been such a large part of his life.” The

2009 season would have been Sample’s 30th as a Major League Baseball official scorer. A University of Cincinnati icon, Sample’s uniform jersey #1 was retired when he was inducted into that school’s Hall of Fame after amassing a school record 391 victories in 21 seasons as the Bearcats’ head baseball coach (391-33-7). He led UC to 4 appearances in the NCAA tournament and 2 Missouri Valley Conference baseball titles while sending more than 50 players to the professional ranks. Sample also served as Cincinnati’s wrestling coach and assistant athletic director. In pre-game ceremonies on Opening Day 2009, the Reds formally dedicated the Glenn Sample Official Scorer’s Booth at Great American Ball Park.
