For instance, the expertly restored 1953 roadster, production serial number 153, earned the Gold Spinner Award in 2008; the twin 427 Tri Power Black-on-Saddle 1967 Sting Rays

car that counts the NCRS 5-Star Bowtie Award, Duntov Award of Excellence and Bloomington Gold Benchmark

and Survivor Awards among its many accolades. Every one of these fine Corvettes is of similarly

exceptional quality, together constituting a virtual treasure trove for the dedicated collector.

In 1991 the only non-GM Corvette performance option that could be ordered as an RPO was the Callaway Twin Turbo package known as RPO B2K. Performed by Callaway Cars in Old Lyme, Connecticut, the modifications added twin intercooled turbochargers, revised engine management and 150 horsepower, raising output to over 400. This is number 6 in that series of 71 Callaway Corvettes. Finished in pleasing Turquoise Metallic on a Black interior and optioned with FX3 suspension, power seats. Locks and windows and two removable tops, it is exceptionally fresh, with just 1,217 actual miles on the odometer.

The L88 Corvette entered its third year of production in 1969 as the all-conquering force in both SCCA and FIA competition. Rated at a measly 430 horsepower, the L88 pumped out an all-too-real 560 hp at its redline and, with special heavy-duty brakes, F41 suspension, and a bullet-proof Positraction rear end, it was as powerful and race-ready as anything from Detroit at the time. As such, it was still under the tight production reins imposed at its inception, and only 116 were built. This Le Mans Blue 1969 coupe was the subject of a restoration by the famed Nabers Brothers of Houston and is documented with an original statement from Tim Thorpe and copies of the tank sticker and shippers invoice. Outfitted with a Bright Blue leather interior, it features Rally wheels, side exhaust and the unmistakable hood bulge that distinguishes the L88 as the most potent Corvette of its era.

It is capable of 199 mph and can rocket from zero to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds. Offered from 1970 to 1972, the ZR1 was the rarest small block Corvette ever built, with just 20 produced in 1972.
