Where Is Paul Watkins?

We had great discussion about this at our September Town Hall meeting. As you know we have increased our security measures since this event. We have installed multiple cameras throughout the inside and outside of our building and have decided at this time it is best to keep our front doors secured around the clock. We ask for everyone’s patience when entering the building. Residents and guests at this time will need to phone in to gain entrance into the building. Our staff may need to verify your identify if they cannot. As always, regardless of this event, we feel it is best for residents to keep their apartments locked.

Kairosalive! Assisted Living staff from both AMM/RMM and Watkins embarked on a one day training on Kairosalive!, an award-winning, intergenerational program that integrates the arts to improve overall wellness. It’s a program that has potential to transform lives. During this same week of training, seniors throughout our WH communities enjoyed Kairosalive! Music sessions, ending the week in the Great Hall of Watkins Manor for a Dance Hall event featuring the WSU jazz band! We thank the Winona Health Foundation for this amazing opportunity!

Hoping each of you enjoy the fragrance and colors of Fall! What a beautiful area we call home. Thank you for choosing Winona Health to meet your assisted living needs!

This question has taken over our thoughts since our historic portrait of Paul Watkins was discovered missing from our beautiful Great Hall on September 12th. It is a question I have been asked and many of our staff have been asked as they are out in the community. Sarah Squires recent article in the Post added and extra emotional element in her Editor’s note, expressing how we all feel as both tenants of the building as well as a member of the Winona community about the historic value of a portrait of a man who contributed to the rich legacy of Winona. We continue to hope for the safe return of this portrait back to its home.

Flu Shots

It’s that time of year again !

Our residents will be receiving their flu shots this month

We will be asking residents if you have received the flu shot from your Provider to

prevent receiving it again. You can also stop at the nursing office and let them know that

you have already received the flu shot so we can updated your records.
