Why the Friendship Circle?Connecting Schools and Nonprofits for the Good of the Entire Community
When schools and nonprofits work in isolation, so much potential for synergy is lost. Why
reinvent the wheel? Friendship Seminars were born out of our 10+ years of inspiring and
motivating teenagers. When we come together, everyone benefits from collaboration.
Rethink Stereotypes
Put Youth in a Leadership Role
Elevate the Conversation
Empower with Tools for Positive Change
Using multimedia and interactive teaching techniques, we
guide youth to rethink the differences that often divide us such
as disabilities, socioeconomic status, skin color, and more.
We don’t teach to participants—instead, we challenge them to
find creative solutions to the isolation and lack of inclusion in
our society.
Instead of preaching on the ills of bullying, Friendship Seminars
are an overwhelmingly positive discussion. We’ve found that
the right attitude follows from changed thinking…naturally.
Motivated youth need concrete steps to put learning into action
or the momentum can be lost. We’ve created a list of volunteer
opportunities so that they can impact their community.
What We Do for Youth
What We Do for our PartnersSchools and Nonprofits all over Milwaukee
We create programs tailored to the needs,
challenges, and strengths of each partner.
Seminars are further customized based on the age
of participants and the level of involvement desired
by the administration.
We know that funding is scarce beyond core
curriculums, so it’s all provided at no cost to our
partners—from the bussing down to the last
delicious cookie served.
