    1. New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. WWOZ provided full broadcast and web coverage of the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. WWOZs Production Krewe, led by Program Director Dwayne Breashears and Chief Engineer Damond Jacob, provided live feeds to 11 community radio stations across North America, including WBAI (New York), WDCB (Chicago), KOOP (Austin), KPOV (Bend, OR), and KDX Internet Radio (Worldwide). WWOZ staff and more than 100 volunteers carried out WWOZs multiple Jazz Fest activities at the Fairgrounds, including the live broadcast, national syndication and simulcast, Brass Pass Distribution, the WWOZ Hospitality Tent, WWOZ Mango Freeze sales, cooking demonstration and WWOZ cookbook sales.

    Broadcast Krewe. The WWOZ live broadcast volunteer team included George Ingmire, Leslie Cooper, David Kunian, Maryse Dejean, Eric Ward, Sam Cammarata, Suzanne Corley, Linda Santi, Murf Reeves, Stuart Hall, Dale Gunnoe, Jerry Lenaz, Benjamin Seyna, Nita Ketner, Sondra Bibb, Andrew Grafe, Marguerite Sevdalis, Luis Williams, Tim Hemphill, and Olivia Greene.

    Engineering Krewe. The engineering team included Tony Guillory, Robert Carroll, Khalid Hafiz, and Susan Jacob. Volunteer Power. David & Patti Averbuck, Sissy Wiggin, Grace Perrine, Stacey Morigeau, Chris Wells, Ryan Hodgson-Rigsbee, Kichea Burt, Leon Morris, Paige Patriarca, Ruth Marinello, and dozens more. Full-length Performances of the following artists were featured in the 2014 WWOZ Jazz Fest live broadcast and simulcast schedule: Alexey Marti & Urban Minds, Roger Lewis Baritone Bliss, Tricia Boutt and Paul Longstreth present Norways Gumbo, Gregory Porter, Aurora Neeland & the Royal Roses, Shotgun Jazz Band, Geoff Clapp, Treme Brass Band, Rene Marie With Love to Eartha Kitt, Dukes of Dixieland, John Boutt, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Delfeayo Marsalis and The Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Erica Falls, Forgotten Souls, Stanton Moore, Bill Summers & Jazsalsa, New Orleans Nightcrawlers, John Mahoney Big Band, Charmaine Neville Band, Charles Bradley & The Extraordinaires, Lionel Ferbos & the Palm Court Jazz Band, the Nick Sanders Trio, Jon Batiste & Stay Human, Lillian Boutt & Gumbo Zaire, Al Jarreau, Calvin Johnson, Jesse McBride Presents The Next Generation, and Aaron Neville.

    2. 26th Annual WWOZ Piano Night. The 2014 WWOZ Piano Night Benefit was held on

    April 28, 2014 at House of Blues New Orleans and broadcast live on WWOZ. Sponsor Services raised $41,000 from nine sponsors to defray production costs for this years benefit. As always, WWOZ Piano Night featured world-renowned pianists performing simultaneously on three stages at the House of Blues from 7:00pm until midnight. This year, the WWOZ Piano Night soloists were: Ellis Marsalis with Delfeayo Marsalis, Kermit Ruffins and Yoshitaka Z2 Tsuji, Joshua Paxton, Marty Sammon, Dominic Pipkin, Jorge Luis Pacheco, Robert Walters Trio featuring Simon Lott and Chris Stillwell, the Terrance Simien Trio with Danny Williams, Jon Cleary, Roland Guerin and Steven Gordon, Cyrus Chestnut, David Torkanowsky with Stanton Moore, Marsha Ball, Davell Crawford with Jesse McBride, Nigel Hall, David Todd Paquette, Sanford Hinderle, Joe Krown, Marc Stone, Eric Bolivar, Reynard Poche, Mark Broos, and Doug Beloitte.

    3. Membership. As of March 31, 2014, WWOZ received a total of $1,391,472 from 5.994 members, a revenue increase of 10% compared to the same period in FY 2013. 3,116 WWOZ members from outside the state of Louisiana contributed $661,647 (48% of total donations) in this reporting period. 834 WWOZ sustaining members accounted for $49,113 in donations made during the period (4% of total donations). The number of sustaining members increased by 60% over the same period in FY 2013. By way of comparison, as of March 31, 2013, WWOZ had received $1,263,405 from 5,952 donors, including $562,884 from 3,069 out-of-state members (45% of total donations). 522 WWOZ sustaining members had contributed $32,322 as of March 31, 2013 (3% of total donations). WWOZ sold a total of 3.291 Brass Passes to the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, compared to the 2,931 sold in 2013.

    4. Underwriting. As of March 31, 2014, WWOZ has generated a total of $193,177 in

    underwriting and sponsorship revenue for FY 2014. In April 2014, Sponsor Services has signed 11 new underwriting contracts with the The Historic New Orleans Collection, Bamboula's, The Boom Boom Room Presents, Chevron, The Theatres at Canal Place, CCs Community Coffee, The Joy Theater, Generations Hall, Zatarains, the Oak Street Block Party, and First Fridays on Fulton.

    5. WWOZ Mango Freeze at Jazz Fest 2014. The WWOZ Mango Freeze stand grossed $129,759 during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. At Jazz Fest 2013, Mango Freeze grossed $76,512.

    6. Major Giving. As of March 31, 2014, Major Giving has received $113,119 in donations for FY 2014, compared to $165,300 received during the same period in FY 2013. Aside from the one-time RosaMary Foundation grant for the tower upgrade, Major Giving revenue has increased by 73% in the reporting period compared to FY 2013. WWOZ hosted a successful Bloody Mary Bar cultivation event on April 12, 2014 at the French Quarter residence of Kathleen Parke and WWOZ Board Member Bob Edmundson, and thanks them for their generous hospitality.

    7. 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k. For a second year, WWOZ was

    named as an Official Charity Partner of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k race. A team of 48 WWOZ staff, volunteers, members, and supporters participated in the race on April 19, 2014, and raised a total of $14,075 for WWOZ. In 2013, WWOZ raised $7,641.87 from its participation with a team of 36 runners. Each team member was required to raise a minimum of $200 to participate in the race. Team WWOZs top three individual fundraisers were Daniel Dreher ($3,003), Renata Ribiero ($1,115), and Chriss Cazayoux ($816). WWOZ hosted a thank-you party for the team at Kermit Ruffins Mother-in-Law Lounge on April 23, 2014. As in 2013, WWOZs participation in the Crescent City Class was coordinated and administered by Don Paul and WWOZ Volunteer Coordinator Maryse Djean.

    8. WWOZ Swamp Shop. Swamp Shop revenue totaled $13,138.50 for April 2014, compared to $12,500 earned in April 2013, a month-to-month increase of 5%. The Swamp Shop retail location sales accounted for 89% of all sales in March 2014. Total year-to-date revenue for Swamp Shop is $53,975.94, compared to revenue of $124,334 for the same period in FY 2013, a decrease of 57%. Swamp Shop was on hand with merchandise for sale at the 2014 WWOZ Piano Night.

    9. Marketing & Development. On April 22, 2014, WWL-TV aired the seventh installment of its Guardians of the Groove interview series, featuring Ellis Marsalis interviewed by WWOZ Program Director at the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in Musicians Village. According to our collaborators at WWL-TV, the Guardians of the Groove series of interviews, which have aired monthly since September 2013, played a significant role in WWL-TVs receiving a 2014 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence from the Radio Television Digital News Association in the Small Market Television category. On May 5, 2014, WGNO-TVs News with a Twist aired a segment featuring the WWOZ cookbook That Sounds Good! with artists Glen David Andrews, Charlie Miller, and Johnny Sansone discussing their recipes contributions.

    10. Outreach. WWOZs Outreach team was on site at the Freret Street Festival on April 5, 2014. Outreach was also on hand to supplement WWOZs participation in the Crescent City Classic 10k race, hosting tables at the Crescent City Foundation Health & Fitness Expo on April 17 & 18, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans and at the Michelob-Ultra RaceFest immediately following the race in New Orleans City Park April 19, 2014. On April 30, 2014, WWOZ was a major presence at the Oak Street Block Party, which featured live music and a crawfish boil.

    11. New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation Gala. WWOZ sponsored a

    table at the 16th Annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation Gala on April 24, 2014 at the Hilton Riverside Hotel. General Manager David Freedman and Major Gifts Officer Lauren Del Rio attended the event, along with major WWOZ donors.

    12. New Media. The New Media team produced extensive coverage of the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, including 22 blog posts, several dozen Facebook posts (one of which reached over 175,000 people), and numerous posts on Twitter and Instagram. Our team of five volunteer photographers captured at least 2,000 pictures of performances and events during the festival, which will be collated and archived for future use in promoting Jazz Fest 2014. WWOZ.org featured a live video stream from the Sync Up music industry conference held on April 25 & April 26 and May 2 & May 3, and for the first time this year, the website featured an HTML5 video streaming option compatible with iOS computers and mobile devices. The New Media team employed five volunteer photographers to document fully WWOZs Piano Night at the House of Blues, including the WWOZ Patron Party, the food vendors, the red carpet, as well as the great music.
