Lead by Ron Hay. 2) Aging and Longevity Explore the results of a major survey by the Christchurch City Council into the implications of people living longer, and increasing numbers of older adults. 3) Facing Others Digital technology, face-recognition technology, military surveilance ... How do we relate in an age of screens? Lead by Andrew Shepherd 4) Creative Response Space for creativity and personal reflection on how we feel about the future, fears and hopes, visions and imagining. Speakers: The Cashmere Conference is bringing together some of the best minds and emerging talent in the country: Nicola Hoggard-Creegan is a lecturer and author based in Auckland Andrew Shepherd leads 'A Rocha' in NZ, a Christian-based environment protection agency, teaches and works with young people in Wanaka Geoffrey Troughton lectures in Religious Studies at Victoria University, Wellington, and has just edited a new book of spiritual history in NZ. Peter Majendie is well known in Christchurch as the creative genius behind the 'White Chairs' project. He is an artist and stand-up commedian, and will be leading our Creative Space. Ron Hay's book 'Finding the Forgotten God' is award-winning. He is in demand around the country helping people connect faith in kiwi culture.
