With equal measures of pluck and positivity, Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan.
With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil plans and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a world-wide phenomenon and was the winner of seven TONY Awards including Best Musical. U

The excitement of a musical like Annie stems from being multi-dimensional. In a drama, actors tell a story. At concerts, you hear lots of music and sounds. In a parade, there is a great deal of excitement. In Annie, you receive the reward of this whole experience from the sum of all of these parts.
When we chose this particular show, we knew that this multi-dimensional aspect would be a challenge for the cast, crew, artists and for our entire team. Because of past experience in working together and with a support team of very talented teachers and parents, we knew would be up for this challenge.
We have strived to give our school and community an opportunity to see and hear something special. Annie is a spectacle of theatricality. We hope that it will create for all a childhood feeling of wonderment. For, after all, the Greek root of the word theatre stems from the word “wonder”.
I hope you enjoy the show!
