CHALLENGING THE PARADIGMS
Code of Disruptional Engineering to Outperform
Design I Dynamics I Deployment I Digital
Several global and Indian organizations across multiple domains have realized the need toredesign and transform their business processes completely and repeatedly to remain relevant intoday’s world of high-paced change. While technology is rapidly changing the way businesses areconducted, entrepreneurs are thinking radically differently along almost all spheres of business.Processes, divisions and departments have all but ceased to exist – at least mentally – in the newworld. ‘Organic Thinking’ has become the modern mantra of successful businesses, especially soin the services industry. Amongst many things to many people, it generally represents a changefrom being structured to being flexible by following a culture of iterative thinking to understandthe end customer needs by developing empathy with the target user and repeatedly questioningthe problems and assumptions. It involves a complete “blue sky approach” of experimentation, sketching, prototyping, testing, and trying out new concepts and ideas.
The mystery of the disappearing road ahead is not something that is likely to happen sometimein the distant future. It’s likely to pop-up rather soon – across the next bend! And that’s why theneed to possibly engineer our own disruption right now is important. It may not be so importantto be ‘disruptive’ as it may be to be ‘disruptional’. To be disruptive is to positively causedisruption, however to be ‘disruptional’ is having the ability to be disruptive. This distinctionmight sound slight, but could well be an important one.
The concept of being disruptional has emerged as a sequel to going digital. The prominence ofbeing disruptive for an ultimate positive business impact is a direct result of the rise of the digitalinfluence in the business world. In the Business Services domain, the code of disruptionalengineering runs along four parallel lines: Design, Dynamics, Deployment and Digital.Collectively, these 4 D’s are intricately interrelated. The upsetting of one upsets the othersautomatically. The question of challenging the paradigm of these four D’s needs to be taken upcollectively and continuously for sustainable outperformance.
SSF’s Annual Global Business Services Conclave 2019, the 9th in our annual series, aims to bringthe focus of the global leaders to share and reflect on the various perspectives along these linesand to learn from those who have been there, done that. The agenda of the day will cover amyriad of topics and each topic will be presented by industry leaders of distinction who are onlytoo happy to share their experiences and vision. As is our tradition, the conclave will also includefelicitating BPM Achievers for individuals and Excellence Awards & Recognition fororganizations.
The structure and content of the 9th Annual Global Business Services Conclave 2019 has beencategorized under three streams:
❑ Panel Discussions, Case Presentations, and Knowledge Sharing Interactions,
