PRESENTATION

We’re going to talk about a special party, but really

it’s not a party, this is a very marked date in the

anglosajon calendar.

This is Friday 13th; a very singular day that makes

horror and expectancy too.

Some people want to delete this day in their

calendars and others enjoy this day, watching terror

films and making this day like a special party.

WHAT IS FRIDAY 13TH?

Friday 13th is considered an unlucky day in the anglosajon cultures.

In Spain, Hispanoamerica and Greece the unlucky day is on Tuesday 13th.

In Italy the unlucky day is on Friday 17th.

When someone has afraid of Friday 13th’ day that person has got collafobia.

WHY IS AN UNLUCKY DAY?

It has got a historical origin.

On Friday 13th of October 1307 the Saint Inquisition chased to some Templaire Knights because they thought that those Knights were homosexual and heretics. They were murdered and sentenced to go to the bonfire. And since that day Friday 13th is considered a terror and unlucky day.

13 NUMBER

WHY THE 13 NUMBER IS CONSIDERED UNLUCKY? There is much information about this.

In the Christ’s last dinner they were 12 apostles and Jesus; that’s why the person number 13 was Judas, who betrayed Jesus. And finally Jesus died on a Friday. There are 13 evil ghosts in the Cabala. The Apocalipsis’s chapter number 13 talks about the Anti Christ or the Beast. The number 13 in the Tarot refers to the death.

FRIDAY 13TH: FILM

When the FRIDAY and NUMBER 13 joined together became very famous around the world. And finally they did a film about that. This film is about a child called Jason that in a summer camp drowned in the lake. Now, he wants to get back at the leaders and the people that didn’t save him.

12 AND 13

The number 13 is not considered a great number because it breaks the number 12, what it’s the best number. WHY IS THE NUMBER 12 A COMPLETE NUMBER?:

• The apostles were 12.

• There are 12 months in a year.

• There are 12 zodiac symbols.

• There are 12 Olympus Gods.

• There are 12 Israel Tribes.

• 12 number is a lucky number.

12 AND 13

HOWEVER, THE NUMBER 13, IS THE OPPOSITE.

Some people don’t say 13, they say 12 + 1.

Some people in the USA don’t travel by plane in a 13 day.

In the most of the hotels and hospitals there isn’t any 13 room.

In some aeroplanes there isn’t a seat number 13.

The witches met together in groups of 12 and the number 13 was the devil.

In the Bible, some people think that Abel was killed by his brother Cain in a Friday 13th.

There is no year that hasn’t got a

Friday 13th in it.

In 2012, there have been many days

that were Friday 13th. It’s the most

popular date in the calendar.
