HEllo and wElcomE!First off, congratulations on getting a place at Warwick - you’re in for the best years of your life! Here at the Students’ Union we’ve got a great line-up of events to help you settle in and make you feel at home. From fantastic and affordable outlets such as The Dirty Duck and Curiositea to our newly-refurbished restaurant, Xananas, there’s something to keep everyone fed, watered and entertained right from day one.

But your Union is so much more than just a social hub - everything that we do, we do for you, our members. You shape policy, you direct our events line-up, you decide who runs your Union. The opportunities for involvement are endless, and over these first few weeks we showcase all that we offer. Ensure you try everything at least once, and enjoy every second of your Freshers experience - it’ll be over before you know it!

your sabbatical tEamEach ‘Sabb’, as they are known, is responsible for a different area of the Union’s activities. They are elected by students to work full time to ensure your expectations are met, so if you see one, don’t forget to tell them what you think. warwicksu.com/officers

Whether you fancy a cold beer, tasty cocktail, fruity mocktail or even champagne, we’ve got the lot – all at the cheapest prices on campus.

Here at Warwick it’s all about a ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude, and there is no better place to play than in our very own two- level club and venue. Situated right in the heart of campus, we

offer at least 4 events a week, catering for a wide range of tastes and vibes. Whether you need Pop, Dance, Indie, Cheese or Bass to

feed your inner party-starter, we’ve got it covered! Those who prefer a more relaxed affair will enjoy the programme of events offered in favourite

campus hangouts like The Terrace Bar and The Dirty Duck.

Check the website to see videos and galleries from a few of these events that we offer…

Better yet, if there’s something we’re not doing that you’d like to see, you can always put on your own event right here at the SU!

With regular society showcases and a memorable cast of characters on the door, Warwick SU is the biggest, safest and most student-friendly venue in the local area.

We look forward to seeing you out and about during your time here!

We don’t always get everything right here at Warwick SU, and it’s up to you to tell us where we’re going wrong. If we don’t have your favourite sandwich filling in The Bread Oven, you want to hear more

New Wave Rapstep in The Copper Rooms or you think The Terrace Bar needs a certain cocktail, we want you to get in touch. It’s really important that

we hear from you during your first weeks here – if there’s something we can changeto make your life at Warwick better, we want to know. You can have your say in many ways:

BY EMAIL - [email protected]

ONLINE - fill in the form at www.warwicksu.com/HavEyoursay

BY PAPER - fill in a paper form in any outlet

IN A GROUP - come to a focus group (details at warwicksu.com/HavEyoursay)

IN PERSON - drop in and talk to one of the Sabbatical Officers

There will, however, be some things that we can’t do. In order to provide the incredible choice of societies and sports clubs, keep the Student Advice Centre going and employ our staff there’s simply no way we can, for example, charge 10p for your favourite pint! We have to be realistic and there will be some suggestions we simply can’t take forward. When this happens though, we’ll let you know and we promise to be honest with you.
