• Economic Profile launched• Prospectus with EDAG members endorsed yesterday. Compendium designed. Industry inserts to be finalised, Web to occur 15/16. • Business Breakfast Series commenced and program developed for remainder of year. • Manager Economic Development commenced.• Vietnamese investment delegation occurred.• Cruise Ship coordination with stakeholders supported by Council
Chinatown Revitalization Business Case

• Funding being sought from Federal Government through Tourism WA ($600k). Council committed $300k. $300k sought from KDC. • Project to include:
1. Frederick/Dampier connection2. Caravan Parking3. Integrated Public Art and
Activation Infrastructure. 4. Viewing platform and pocket
park• Demonstration project for Chinatown/ Jetty to Jetty Stage 1 • Expected construction to commence prior to 30 June pending funding
Kimberley Regional Offices
Status• Business Plan advertising closed. 9 submissions received. • EOI for leases undertaken• Costings incorporated in Draft Long Term Financial Plan• Council resolved in February 15 to progress with single story 1200 sqm new building on site. Requirements/Next Steps• Tenders for Architects• Investigate other opportunities on corner
Regional Resource Recovery Park
Status• Consultation with key stakeholders undertaken • Community consultation occurring now. Requirements/Next Steps• Progress from areas of interest to sites of interest.• Recommendation to Council for two preferred sites for preliminary investigation
Cape Leveque Road Upgrade
Status• Cape Leveque Road is 193 kms in length with 88kms currently unsealed. • Main roads have committed to undertaken staged upgrading and sealing of road.• Environmental approvals currently being sought (State and Federal Govt)• Economic and Socials needs warranting fast tracking of upgrade. Outcome Sought• Upgrade and sealing to occur over two dry seasons 2015 and 2016. •
Water for Food Program
Status• $40million 4 year program to accelerate water investigations across State to meet future population requirements• Program will support Public/Private partnerships for development of Agriculture Land• Land Tenure issues also being addressed • Focus upon West Kimberley to start
