Cryolipolysis is the non-invasive cooling of fat cells to induce lipolysis without damage to other tissues or structures. The Coolsculpting® procedure, which is performed with a class 2 medical device, works by delivering controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected.

The treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen) then are eliminated naturally through normal bodily functions, leaving a more slender sculpted you.

FAT LOSS VS FAT REDUCTION

Diet and exercise cause the body to lose lean tissue and water along with fat. When you lose weight or gain weight the number of fat cells remain the same, it is the volume within these fat cells that increase and decrease with weight gain and weight loss.

Coolsculpting® actually eliminates the treated fat cells; these do not come back once treated. There is now less fat, a new shape and less ability to store fat in the treated areas due to less fat cells.

WHAT DOES COOLSCULPTING® FEEL LIKE?

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE?

After you’re in a comfortable position in the treatment chair, the applicator is placed on the area, and you will feel a suction as it draws the skin into the hand piece. You will then feel an intense cold that may bring sensations of aching, stinging, tingling or itching in the area for a few minutes until the area becomes numb.

After the treatment cycle is complete your technician will perform a two minute massage on the area to aid the removal of the frozen fat cells. During the massage you may feel the same sensations as the application. These will only last a few minutes and then subside.

The staff at epiclinic® will perform a 360 degree assessment and create a treatment plan tailored to your individual shape and desired outcome.

CoolSculpting® has been scientifically proven to reduce the fat layer in stubborn areas by an average of 22% per treatment. After the first treatment is completed, further reduction can be achieved with additional treatments if necessary. Most patients will require 1-2 treatments.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET BACK TO NORMAL?

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS FROM THE TREATMENT?

Because CoolSculpting® in non-invasive patients can return to their daily activities immediately after their treatment. You may experience mild bruising, swelling, numbness and tenderness in the treated area for a few days or weeks after your treatment. These sensations are temporary and should not stop you from returning to your daily activities.

Results can be seen as soon as three weeks after your treatment with the most significant results seen two to three months after treatment.

For optimal results epiclinic® recommends that you maintain your weight through healthy diet and exercise.
