For Very Soft Lace:• Cutawayexcessstabilizer.Removeremainingstabilizerbyrinsingunderwarmrunningwateruntilalltracesofthestabilizeraregone.Note:Iflaceshouldbecometoolimptoworkwith,dissolvestabilizerscrapsinwarmwaterandapplytothelace.

Drying Lace:• Thelacelooksbestwhenlefttodrycompletely.Laylacepiecewithrightsidedowntodry.Thiswillminimizethetendencyforthelacetocurl.Besuretoflattenthepieceoutentirelyandallowampletimetodry.

The pumpkin patch is growing! This elegant sequel to the memorable collection, Freestanding Pumpkin Patch #12516, offers a whole new set of rich autumn treasures. This time we added modern patterns, one beautiful “Give Thanks” - perfect for everyone’s turkey day celebration, and a spider web version for Halloween. Four of the six designs are to scale with some of the pumpkins from the original series – offering you interchangeable parts between collections. Two of the designs are new sizes to help diversify your display. There is unlimited potential for your own thread color variations and fabric styles. Sew ALL of the pumpkins out and display them together for your own personal pumpkin patch. Be creative!

Follow the General Freestanding Lace Guidelines and General Freestanding Applique Guidelines to stitch the required pieces as listed in the summary above. Optional: Shape the leaves during the drying process. The vine is spiral and will curl mostly on its own.

Basic Instructions for Building a Pumpkin• Assemble the pumpkin by inserting the two buttonettes of each stem

piece into the two top eyelets with the stem on top of the pumpkin piece. Pull the buttonettes from the back of the pumpkin piece. PHOTOS 1 & 2

• Repeat this process for the remaining pumpkin pieces and stems.• Attach the pumpkin base to one section of pumpkin and stem by

inserting the buttonettes from the pumpkin into the eyelets of the pumpkin base. PHOTO 3

• Assemble the pumpkin by inserting the buttonettes of each pumpkin/stem section into the corresponding eyelets of the opposite side. Continue until the pumpkin is finished. PHOTO 4

• Attach the leaf by inserting the buttonette into one of the holes in the middle of a stem. Attach the vine by inserting the buttonette into one of the holes closer to the bottom of a stem just under the leaf. PHOTO 5

• Your Freestanding Lace Pumpkin is complete!
