FREE Training Seminar on Roller/Compactor Equipment Safety The Central Texas Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, as part of an OSHA Susan Harwood Grant, is offering a FREE training seminar on Roller/Compactor Equipment Safety throughout the state of Texas. The training will take approximately 6 hours to be completed, and there is no charge to the attendees. Presented by: Eric Stephan, Safe Construction Consulting Focus of Training: Prevention of injuries and fatalities to equipment operators through the use of Roll- over Protective Structures (ROPS) and seat belts. AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers) Roller/Compactor safety manual that is supplied by the different equipment manufacturers with each piece of equipment sold or rented. Each student will receive their own copy of the safety manual during the training seminar Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 8:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. (allow 30 minutes for lunch) The training will also cover basic equipment safety, ROPS, seat belts, working on slopes, use of vibratory compaction, and equipment loading/unloading. Accident case studies are interwoven into the presentation as a method of gaining interaction from the attendees. The target audiences for the training seminars are public sector companies with roller/compactor equipment operators as well as the supervisors and managers of those employees.
