It is a chronic autoimmune disease
It is triggered by gluten proteins
found in (wheat, barley and rye) in
those genetically susceptible
Can affect the gut, skin, joints, uterus,
brain, heart and other organs

Being Caucasian
Having a positive family member
with CD.
Commodity with Type 1 diabetes,
Thyrodiditis and Hepatitis.

Onset of CD
Onset can happen at any time but
usually in early childhood
Symptoms can vary depending on
age. Typical symptoms can be
abdominal pain, weight loss,
muscle wasting, vomiting,
irritability, abdominal bloating and
many more.
