The public is invited to attend the free performances at The Shops at Dos Lagos, located at Temescal Canyon Road between Weirick Road and Cajalco Road in Corona, which are part of the center’s signature June celebration of the Arts in southern California. Friday, June 17: Gregory Adamson “Facing the Music” Performance The Three of Us band will play as Gregory Adamson creates three original paintings at his “Facing the Music” performance on Friday, June 17 at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater from 6 to 8 p.m. The Three of Us will provide musical Delta blues, acoustic rock and a bit of funk inspiration as Adamson paints on stage. This is the same band that performed with Adamson at EMI Capitol Records on the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death. Gregory Adamson will entertain the audience with his combination of painting, music and movement as he creates three, large scale paintings that are bold, expressive visual translations of the live music. A lucky audience member will win one of the original paintings in a random drawing for age 18 and older attendees at the performance. Entry forms will be distributed throughout the concert and the winner must be present when the drawing is held at the 8 p.m. performance finale. The other two Adamson paintings created on Friday will be given away by Silent Auction at The Shops at Dos Lagos Art Show from June 17 – 25 in the Gallery, located near New York & Company at the center. Saturday Morning, June 18: Southern California ICON Competition

Applaud the singing talents of youth between ages 7 – 18 years old at the Southern California (SOCAL) ICON competition which begins Saturday at 9 p.m. on the Dos Lagos Amphitheater stage. The public is invited to attend the annual vocal competition. Winners will receive career building prizes including a professional photography package, vocal coaching and a recording studio session. Saturday Afternoon, June 18: The Dance Theatre of Corona More than 40 dancers from the Dance Theatre of Corona will perform at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater on Saturday, June 18. The Dance Theater of Corona will perform “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” a collection of songs expressing the joy of dance and “At The Studio,” an artistic battle between dancers who love ballet and dancers who love jazz dance. Denise Derus is the Artistic Director of The Dance Theatre of Corona, associated with the renowned Center Stage Dance School. Sunday, June 19: Circle City Chorale Father’s Day Concert

The Circle City Chorale will present a FREE Father’s Day performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater. The Circle City Chorale, founded by Artistic Director Angela Rosser, is a community choir with more than 40 members from the Inland Empire and Orange County.

The Circle City Chorale performance will feature a special musical tribute to deployed military Dads at the concert. June 16 – 25: Juried Art Show Gallery Hours

The Summer Arts at Dos Lagos Juried Art Show opens to the public on Thursday, June 16 and will be open through June 25. Admission is free to the Art Show Gallery, which is located near New York & Company at the center and is open:

• Monday – Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.

• Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m.

• Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. Artists from 35 cities in Riverside, San Diego, San Bernardino and Orange Counties submitted artwork for the juried show. Visit the beautiful Gallery to view Jury-accepted show art, which is available for purchase. Artists will receive 70% of any sold artwork with 15% donated to the Corona Art Association and 15% to the Riverside Arts Council. The Gallery also features the Heart Gallery a portrait exhibit of foster children in need of homes. For more information visit www.heartgalleryriverside.org.

Visitors to the Summer Arts at Dos Lagos Juried Art Show can submit bids for the chance to own a painting created by Gregory Adamson at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater at the acclaimed artist’s performance on June 17. Bids will be accepted for the two paintings displayed from June 18 – 25 at the Art Show Gallery. The highest bidder on each painting will be notified after the Art Show Gallery closes at 5 p.m. on June 25. All Silent Bid purchase proceeds will be donated equally between the Corona Art Association and the Riverside Arts Council. Visitors to the Art Show can also register for the chance to win exclusive art prizes including VIP tickets to the Laguna Beach 2011 Pageant of the Masters, which includes a guided backstage tour, and VIP tickets to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Tim Burton Exhibition.
