How to play the Game: Hide the 手绢 (shǒujuàn) Handkerchief

手绢 (shǒujuàn) is also called 手帕 (shǒupà). Hide the handkerchief 丢手绢 (diū

shǒujuàn) is a traditional game for Chinese children. In the game, one person is

surrounded by others who are sitting on the ground in a circle. When the game

begins, everyone starts to sing together and the elected person hides 手绢

(shǒujuàn) quietly behind one of players before the song is over. Once the player

realizes that the handkerchief is placed behind his back, he/she needs to quickly

stand up and chase the elected person who hid the handkerchief along the circle. If

the elected person is caught, he or she must perform an act.
