Wind-Chime Forest PathEnjoy the sounds of summer

Approximately 200 Edo-style wind chimes l ine the walkway between Fukutoku Shrine and Fukutoku Garden, providing a splash of color to the greenery. Each wind chime has been individually decorated, and this year the path will be illuminated in the evenings, offering a change of scenery from the afternoon.

Participants come from all over to try their hand at this gold� sh scooping festival. There are three qualifying rounds, and the winners move on to the f i na l s . Come watch the strongest contenders compete in the � nal contest in a special event space on Naka-dori Street.

Over 110 stores are taking part in this summer-exclusive event, including historical shops, department stores, and high-class restaurants. Each store has crafted their own special goldfish-themed food item or beverage, with some available only in certain months to ensure there will be something new to try throughout the whole of summer.

"Perfect for Wearing Yukata!" is a slideshow of photographs from around the Nihonbashi neighborhood. Scenes of each area of Nihonbashi have been taken by photographer Naohiro Yako, and they are being displayed on the digital signage in the underground walkway beneath Edo Sakura-dori Street. Pictures and a report of the exhibit are being distributed through the web magazine Bridgine.

This aquatic exhibition blends an aquarium with art, design, and entertainment. The Ar t Aquarium this year surpasses expectations, showcasing even more gold� sh and exhibits, bringing together for the � rst time a magni� cent lotus-themed display and three works from their popular giant gold� sh bowl series.

Goldfi sh Lantern WalkwaySeasonal decorations for an Edo summer

Giant gold� sh lanterns and digital art projections vibrantly color the traditional ambiance of Naka-dori Street. Smoke bubbles create an added layer of fantasy, transforming the street even further.

Summer Scroll For a short time only, lighting, images and sounds transform Naka-dori Street, painting a Japanese summer scene. The seasonal motifs of fireworks and goldfish recreate the transience of summer.

Giant Goldfi sh LanternsIlluminating the street leading to the shrine are huge, 1.8 meter-tall gold� sh-themed lanterns. The standard lanterns on Naka-dori Street have been changed to a gold� sh pattern, and there are extra lanterns featuring a new collaborative Kincho x ECO EDO Nihonbashi design also lining the road. Known for their "Summer in Japan, Summer with Kincho" commercials, Kincho was the � rst brand in Japan to develop the famous mosquito-repellent incense coils which have become a ubiquitous symbol of hot summer days.
