• Lion Brand® Summer Kiss (Art. #522) § #147 Grape 1 ball (A) § #132 Papaya 1 ball (B) § #100 Ice 1 ball (C) § #178 Jade 1 ball (D)

• Lion Brand® crochet hook size J-10 (6 mm)

• Lion Brand® large-eyed blunt needle

GAUGE 3 picot-shells + 9 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. STITCH EXPLANATIONS picot Ch 4, sl st in first ch. beg picot-shell Ch 3 (counts as dc), (dc, picot, 2 dc) in indicated st or sp. picot-shell (2 dc, picot, 2 dc) in indicated st or sp. NOTES 1. Shawl is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows from the lower point

upwards. 2. After the first 2 rows, picot-shells are worked in the spaces between sts instead

of in the top of sts. 3. Yarn colors are changed to make stripes. To change yarn color, work last st of

old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Fasten off old color and proceed with new color.

SHAWL With A, ch 4. Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), (dc, picot, 2 dc) in 4th ch from hook – you will have 1 picot-shell in this row. Row 2: Beg picot-shell in first st, picot-shell in top of beg ch-3 – 2 picot-shells. Row 3: Ch 4, turn, sl st in first st (side picot made), ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same (first) st, picot-shell in next sp between picot-shells, 2 dc in top of beg ch-3 – 1 picot-shell, 1 side picot and 2 dc at beg and end of row.
