FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Scarf measures approximately 36"/91.5cm long (circumference)

MATERIALS

One pair size US 11 (8mm) knitting needles, or size to obtain gauge.

2 small stitch holders Yarn needle Stitch.Rock.Love. Sheep(ish) from

Caron (70% Acrylic/30% Wool; 3oz/85g,167yds/153m) #0010 Camel(ish): 4 balls

GAUGE In Stockinette stitch, 12 sts and 14 rows = 4"/10cm.

NOTE If you want a longer scarf, to wear in two loops instead of one, simply continue knitting until piece measures 3 times as long (108"/274.5cm).

SCARF INSTRUCTIONS: Using a double strand of yarn, CO 31 sts. Row 1 (RS): [K2, p2] twice, k5, p5, k5, [p2, k2] twice. Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl sts. Rows 3–10: Repeat Rows 1 and 2. Row 11 (knot cable row): [K2, p2] twice. Make RH strip: Working back and forth over next 5 sts only (leave all other sts unworked for now), work 6 rows in St st (k on RS, p on WS); slip the 5 sts onto a stitch holder and allow strip to fall to front. Cut yarn. Slip next 5 sts onto a stitch holder and allow to fall to back. Make LH strip: With RS facing, rejoin yarn. Working back and forth over next 5 sts only, work 6 rows in St st; leave sts on left hand needle. Tie knot: With RS facing, cross RH strip in front of LH strip, then behind LH strip, and through the center opening (like tying a knot); allow RH strip to fall to the front.K5 from LH strip, p5 from 2nd stitch holder, k5 from RH strip (the RH strip is now the LH strip and vice-versa).[P2, k2] twice to complete row. crochet hook along bind-off edge of Shawl and pull folded end through. Pull ends of strands through folded loop and pull to tighten. Attach Fringe in every other st along bind-off row.

Sizes 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) and 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. 2 st holders.

Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins 10 cm with larger needles in stocking st.

Pattern: The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes, the instructions will be written thus ( ).

BACK **With smaller needles, cast on 95 (99-103-115-125) sts. ***1st row: *K1. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 2nd row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. P1. Rep last 2 rows (K1. Shape Neck: Next row: K38 (40-42-48-53) (neck edge). Turn. Leave rem sts on a spare needle. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 4 rows, then every follow alt row to 30 (32-33-38-43) sts.

Cont even until work measures same length as Back to shoulder ending with a purl row. Cast off. With RS of work facing slip next 19 sts from spare needle onto a st holder. Join yarn to rem sts and work as given for left side reversing shaping.

SLEEVES With smaller needles, cast on 43 (49-49-51-51) sts. Rep from *** to *** as given for Back.

Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st inc 1 st each end of needle on next and following 4th rows to 73 (77-93-97-101)

FINISHING Place markers on sides of Front and Back 9 (9½-10½-11-11½) ins [23 (24-26.5-28-29) cm] down from shoulders. Sew sleeves between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.



Boucle Baby Hoodie

Cont even for 7 1/2 (8-9-11)" [19 (20.5-23-28) cm] total length, ending with a purl row. Place a marker at each end of last row. Work a further 4 (6-8-8) rows even. Cast off.

Hood: Cast on 68 (70-72-74) sts. Knit 5 rows, inc 5 sts evenly across last row. 73 (75-77-79) sts.

Proceed in stocking st, dec 1 st each end of needle on next and every following alt row to 57 (59-61-65) sts. Cont even for 7 (7 1/4-7 1/2-8)" [18 (18.5-19-20.5) cm] total length, ending with a purl row.

Shape back: Cast off 5 sts beg next 8 rows. Cast off rem 17 (19-21-25) sts.

Finishing: Buttonhole Band: With RS facing of Right Front for Her or Left Front for Him, pick up and knit 33 (37-41-46) sts evenly between neck edge and lower edge. Knit 3 rows. 4th row: (RS). K1 (1-1-2). *K2tog. yfwd. K5 (6-7-8). Rep from * 3 times more. K2tog. yfwd. Knit to end of row. Knit 2 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS).

Button Band: Work as given for Buttonhole Band, on Left Front for Her or Right Front for Him, omitting all reference to buttonholes. Sew shoulder seams. Fold Hood in half and sew back seam. Sew shaped edge of Hood to neck opening. Sew in Sleeves placing rows above markers along armhole edges of Fronts and Back to form square armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons to correspond to buttonholes.

Knitting Needles: 8 mm [US 11]. Black faux leather handle. 9” black zipper. Sewing needle and matching yarn. Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 10 sts = 4”; 12 rows = 4” in garter stitch holding 1 strand of A and B together. Use any size needles to obtain the specified gauge. NOTE: Hold 1 strand of A and B together throughout.

to-make I'm Worth It Ruffled Tote is just what

you need for day-to-day wear. Whether you use

it to carry a current knitting project or your

wallet, this sturdy stockinette stitch bag mixes

functional with fashionable in a snap!

Size: Bag measures 11” high x 20” around. Materials:

STITCH NATION ™ Full o’ Sheep™: 2 balls 2915 Chianti A.

RED HEART® Boutique™ Sashay™: 1 ball 1949 Salsa B.

Circular Knitting Needles: 3.75mm [US 5] – 20”.

Double Pointed Knitting Needles: 3.75mm [US 5].

GAUGE: 20 sts = 4” in Stockinette Stitch.

Use any size needles to obtain the gauge. TOTE Bottom Section With A, cast on 10 sts. Work in Garter stitch (knit every row) for 8”. Bind off. Bag Body Pick up and knit 100 sts evenly around the four sides of the purse bottom rectangle. Knit every round until 9” from pick-up row. Ruffles It will be easier to work with the Sashay yarn (B) if a few yards are unrolled from the skein then pulled open. Use the NON-metallic edge to attach to the purse. Next 2 Rounds: * Insert right needle through a loop on the edge of B then through the next stitch on the left needle and knit both together with A, skip 2 loops on B; repeat from * around. After working 2 rounds of ruffles, cut B. Continue with A. Upper Edge and Handle Holes Round 1: Knit. Round 2: Purl. Rounds 3-8: Repeat Rounds 1 and 2. Round 9: [Knit 10, k2tog, yo, knit 26, k2tog, yo, k10] twice. Round 10: Purl. Rounds 11-16: Repeat Rounds 1 and 2. Bind off. Handle With 2 double pointed needles and A, cast on 6 sts. * Knit 6 but do not turn work, push sts to opposite end of needle, draw yarn firmly behind needle; repeat from * until handle measures 38”. Bind off. Insert handle through holes in purse. Sew ends together.
