We   cannot   know  what’s   our   purpose,  we   can  only  do  our  best  in  the  things  we  do  and  hope  that   it   is   all   for   the   be@er.     Everything   in   life  anyway,  is  only  for  now…

“Only  for  now!  (For  now  there's  life!)  Only  for  now!(For  now  there's  love!)  Only  for  now!(For  now  there's  work!)

For  now  there's  happiness!  But  only  for  now!    (For  now  discomfort!)  (For  now  there's  friendship!)

Only  for  now!

Don't  stress,  Relax,  Let  life  roll  off  your  backs

Except  for  death  and  paying  taxes,  Everything  in  life  is  only  for  now!”    –  Excerpt  from  the  music  For  Now

Why  nice  girls  don’t  get  the  corner  office

Being  brought  up   in  a   tradiKonal   culture  where  we  are  punished  for  not  saying  “Opo”,  or  joining  in   adult   conversaKons,   it   has   been   difficult   to  keep  up  with  the  western  tradiKon.

This   book   changed   my   views   and   the   way   I  assimilate   especially   with   foreigners.     It   has  made   me   aware   of   what   I   am   unconsciously  doing   that   to   me   seems   normal   or   someKmes  even   a   must   but   to   those   people   I   need   to  impress  seem  unfamiliar  even  weird  at  Kmes.

7  Habits  of  Highly  Effective  People  ì  Habit  1:  Be  ProacKve

ì  I  will  not  be  afraid  to  speak  my  mind.    I  will  commit  and  be  accountable  for  my  acKons.

ì  Habit  2:  Begin  with  the  End  in  Mind  ì  Reflect  every  now  and  then  on  what  I  have

and   have   not   accomplished.     Update   my  mission  and  vision  to  reflect  my  values  and  life  goals.

ì  Habit  3:  Put  First  Things  First  ì  I  Keep  a  to-‐do  list  and  always  WIN(write   it

now)  so  I  can  plan  and  prioriKze.  carlatetangco.blogspot.com

7  Habits  of  Highly  Effective  People  ì  Habit  4:  Think  Win-‐Win

ì  I     show   concern   and   compromise   only   to  the  point  that   I  am  genuinely  concern  and  comfortable  respecKvely.

ì  Habit  5:  Seek  First   to  Understand,  Then  to  be  Understood  ì  I  always  keep  an  open  mind  and  listen,  I  try

to   learn   everything   that   I   can   before  arguing/accepKng.

7  Habits  of  Highly  Effective  People  ì  Habit  6:  Synergize

ì  I   am  no   longer  an   individual   contributor,   I  need   to   keep  a   variety  of   personaliKes   in-‐sync  both  at  home  and  at  work.

ì  Habit  7:  Sharpen  the  Saw  ì  A   30-‐minute   –   2.5hours   meditaKve   yoga
