• LION BRAND® crochet hook size H-8 (5 mm)• LION BRAND® large-eyed blunt needle

GAUGE 1 ‘ripple’ = about 4 1/2 in. (11.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

STITCH EXPLANATION dc2tog (double crochet 2 stitches together) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook – 1 st decreased.

NOTE Cowl is worked in one piece in joined rounds, in an easy ripple pattern.

COWL Ch 127. Join with sl st in first ch to make a ring, taking care not to twist ch. Rnd 1: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), (dc2tog) 3 times, 2 dc in next 6 ch, *(dc2tog) 6 times, 2 dc in next 6 ch; rep from * to last 6 ch, (dc2tog) 3 times; join with sl st in top of beg ch – 7 ripples at the end of this rnd. Rnd 2: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), turn, (dc2tog) 3 times, 2 dc in next 6 dc, *(dc2tog) 6 times, 2 dc in next 6 dc; rep from * to last 6 dc, (dc2tog) 3 times; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Rnds 3-15: Rep Rnd 2.

Fasten off.

FINISHING Weave in ends.
