“People Helping People” Volume 19—Issue 4 April 2018 Revised

From the Presidents Desk

Greetings!

We have received the approval of the Grand Aerie for the no smoking change to our house rules. As of April 1st the entire aerie building will be no smoking. A smoking area will be provided outside for smokers.

April is Nominations month. Any brother interested in stepping up and becoming an officer of the aerie can sign up or be nominated to hold a position.

Being involved in aerie leadership is an important role for the success of the organization and I would encourage everyone to consider it seriously. If everyone steps up and does a little bit, no one or one group is over burdened. Please think about be-ing of service to our aerie.

A sign up list for officer positions will be posted on the bulletin board and nominations will close at the meeting on April 25th. The election will be held May 9th. Eligible members can vote for the candidates from noon to 6:45 pm, please be prepared to show your official receipt to the tellers. Sorry, no absentee ballots allowed.

Newly elected officers will be announced at the May 9th meeting and their installation ceremony will be the beginning of June.

I hope all brothers will take the time to vote to ensure the success of our aerie.

On a final note I hope everyone will support and help the aerie during the Bike Fest weekend April 26-29th by volunteering to help with this fundraiser.

Sincerely,

Ray Hudalla

Please remember that we are:

“People Helping People”

It would be greatly appreciated for everyone to partici-

pate in the events that we plan. Without your participa-

tion we cannot continue holding events. We know that

it is easy to sometime forget the reason that Eagles

exists, and just enjoy socializing, and playing games..

Buying/Selling 50/50, and other tickets are an

important way of raising funds for our various

charities. We could use volunteers, even a day or

two per month would relieve those who always step

up, and get “burned out”” or discouraged.

Everything you do is greatly appreciated.

All Aerie members are always welcome to attend

the Monthy meetings: 2nd and 4th Wednesday

of each month at 7 PM (see the Calendar for changes).

Free snacks for those who attned the meetings ,

after the meeting.

Please check the calendar, Website, or Bulletin

Board for events, and any changes.

Campers and Motorcycles coming in.

Also, motorcycles will be exiting on the southern

(Right) dirveway , so be careful there also.

This is the largest fundraiser for Our Aerie, so please

there, and all are welcome to come and enjoy the

festivities.

Come to the Aerie on Tuesday April 3rd at 3:00

and see the presentation of a check for $13500 to Project SOS, an

organization that gives aid to Veterans. The money was raised by

our Eagles golfing group, and also a donation fromthe Aerie.

It will fund college shcolarships for 3 children of Veterans.

At 3:30, Congressman Dan Webster will be visiting the Aerie to

present us with a US Flag that has flown over the Capitol building

opportunity to come and meet Congressman Webster.

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

All dues reminders will now be sent out by the Grand Aerie. There will be three (3) reminders

mailed, on or before the 5th of April, May and June to all members whose dues expire on May

31, 2018. The cost will be $0.29 for U.S. postage and $1.00 per member for Canadian postage.

They will bill our Aerie and Auxiliary for this cost. THIS IS NO LONGER AN OPTION. IT IS A RE-

QUIRMENT!!

THIS COST WILL BE PASSED ON TO THE AERIE AND AUXILIARY. This cost to our Auxiliary at this

time would be approximately $200.00 per month as of our last meeting date.

PLEASE PAY YOUR DUES EARLY SO OUR AERIE AND AUXILIARY WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY THIS

EXTRA CHARGE!!!!! THANK YOU and THANK YOU TO THE MEMBERS THAT HAVE ALREADY

PAID THEIR DUES.

PLEASE NOTE ANOTHER CHANGE FROM THE GRAND AERIE:

All members who are one (1) month in the rears in their dues must be dropped by the Secretary
