Fraternal Order of Eagles 3996
Fellow Eagles,
A new year is here already? I still haven't fulfilled the resolutions I made last year, so I guess I'll just have to resolve to get busy and finish them this year! Our Aerie resolved last year to spruce up the club with paint, carpeting, chairs and new ceil-ing tile, and we met that goal by 98%. We still have to finish painting and installing new ceiling tile in the sunroom off the social hall, but we hope to get that finished up over the winter.
We also made a goal to pay off the money we bor-rowed to complete the improvements, and I'm hap-py to say we now owe less than $3,000. We couldn't have done it without your help. Members sent us
donations, REAC and the Eagle Riders made dona-tions, and people have stepped up to attend our fundraising breakfasts and dinners. I also want to
thank the ladies in the Auxiliary for their re-cent $600 donation, and Ginger Bruder also donated the profits from her ham hocks din-ner in December, more than $500. We're nearing the finish line because of our great members. Give yourselves a pat on the back!
Finally, let's all resolve to make #3996 the best it can be in 2017. How do we that? We
need every member to get involved by attending our events, running for office, volunteering to help, sign-ing up a new member, or simply stopping by for a drink and a sandwich. Please add one of those goals to your resolutions in 2017.
Fraternally yours, Worthy President Gary Smith
Madam President’s Report Auxiliary Meetings are the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the Month
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Well November is gone and we had a good Sen-ior Thanksgiving Dinner. Thank you to all the members who donated products for the dinner. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and entertainment. I also want to thank the volunteers: Sue Banners, Linda Darr, Nancy Fruit, Linda Hunt, Virginia Truran, Nancy McFall, Keith and Ginger Bruder, Cindy, Diane Krause, Darlene Devall, Sara Pickup and the JOE’s; you all were so helpful and I hope I didn’t forget anyone; if I did, thank you.
There is always something going on at the club. All the people that helped with the meat auction in December.
The kids Christmas party was 12/17 and there was quite a few who signed up. Thank you Tony for charing the event and all of your helpers to make it a success. I want to wish each and every
one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year.
Your Auxiliary President,
Joyce Rochowiak

EAGLE RIDERS NEWS
By the time you read this I believe the Holidays, or a portion of them, will be behind us and your Eagle Riders hope they were everything you wished for including a Merry Christ-mas.
Our future events have been planned as to the dates, four monthly Steak Roasts starting in May, our HOG Roast in September and a few sundry activities such as dinner and a movie or a Polish Poker Night. Stay tuned for the exact dates as the they draw near.
Our next function will be the BOT Chili Cook Off on Jan 8, 2017 doors open for those entering the cook off at about 3:00 PM. No charge for entering but we will be selling sam-ple chili cups, bowls of chili, hot dogs and both alcoholic and soft drinks. There will be cash prizes for the first three finishers.
If you have an interest in motor cycling think about joining the Eagle Riders. You do not have to have a motor cycle to join. I will repeat this because even though I said you do not
have to have a motor cycle to join I assure you some one after reading this will say I can not join because I don't have a motor cycle. You do not have to have a motor cycle to join.
We do nice things for nice causes, this year we donated a large sum to a local needy family to make their Christmas a Merry one, donated to Homes for our Troops and also the Good Fellows. Although the Eagles organization is multi national all Aries are local and we try to keep most of our assistance to locally needed events or people. By donating locally all our proceeds go to charities and not to the run-ning of charitable organizations that way you know what you donate is going direct to needed causes. Also please keep in mind, if you know of a local need let us know and we may be able to help. No guarantee but we can guaran-tee this, if we do not know we sure will not be able to help. Please help us by bringing to our attention situations in need of help.

Eagles Honor Quilters 3996!!!
Come join us! We are making quilts for our members who have served in the military. If you sew and own a sewing machine and are interested in quilting we meet the 2nd and 4th Monday's between 7-9 pm at the club. I will teach you quilting. If you started a quilt and need help finishing it come and join us, we will get it done together.
Now we even have a long arm Quilter who has donated her time to quilt our quilts. It is John Easley's daughter Cheryl Parent. This is a wonderful gift to us. Thank you. Hope to see men and women join us.
