Santa’s Grand Arrival Look for Santa and Mrs Claus as they embark on their journey through the city centre to the festival on the Christmas Express. Then be a part of the excitement of Santa’s Grand Arrival and help sing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Can you guess how Santa will arrive this year?

Tree Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks DisplayA family tradition, the fireworks and lighting of the 100-year-old Norfolk Pine promises to be a memorable moment. With a special appearance from Santa and his friends, make sure you and your loved ones don’t miss the fireworks display choreographed to an awe-inspiring theatrical sound and light show. Proudly presented by Centro Karingal.

Children’s Performing Company of Australia - Victoria’s leading performing arts

school for young people aged 5 - 18. Tonight’s performance is from students taking part in

their musical theatre programme, the Young Australian Broadway Chorus (YABC).

Allira Fairlam - Singing for the first time at the festival, Allira is 13 years old and has won

numerous talent quests. Taught singing by Peter Cordeux, father of Darren Cordeux, the lead

singer of KissChasy, Allira’s ambition is to be successful pop/rock artist worldwide.

Australian Welsh Male Choir - Returning in 2012, the Australian Welsh Male Choir

began their musical life in Frankston North almost 40 years ago. The choir has recently returned

from a tour of England and Wales where they sang at the “1000 Voice Festival” in Manchester.

Little Munchkins - The Little Munchkins Dance Crew, Ryan and Jaryd, started dancing

when they were very young. Dancing all the time to Robbie Williams and the song

“Who Let The Dogs Out,” nothing was going to stop these two boys from dancing!

DOLCE – Peninsula Music Society - (meaning ‘sweet’ in Italian) is a Violin and Cello

duet who usually perform a classical repertoire for various local functions, but on this one

occasion are bringing their audience a Christmas themed performance that they hope everyone

can enjoy. The Peninsula Music Society has been presenting concerts by leading Australian and

international chamber music artists on the Mornington Peninsula for over 50 years.

BAC 2 BAC - Chris Annable and Bryn Bowen are the “Bac2Bac Duo”. Priding themselves

on their ability to play any song, anywhere, any time and using their unique blend of

performance experience, technical expertise and creativity, they perform songs by any

and all popular artists.

PLOS Musical Productions - ‘The Secret Garden’ - Local theatre company

PLOS Musical Productions will give you a sneak peak of their latest stage show

‘The Secret Garden’, which is set to hit the Frankston Arts Centre during the

Christmas holidays.

The Christmas Show - Come one, come all – your assistance is required! Santa has lost his memory, and Christmas cheer has gone missing - what are we to do? Christmas will never be the same! Star, Pixie, Flooky, Trilly, Rooby and Puddles are coming to the rescue but they need lots of helpers to find the missing Christmas Cheer. Come along to this wonderful Christmas Show that all of the family is bound to enjoy. All’s well that ends well - come along and join in the fun, music, laughter and anticipation that only Christmas brings.

Andrew Wishart - Determined to make the most of his opportunities after appearing on the Australian television series X-Factor, Andrew’s amazing musical ability, honed over 20 years as a performer on the pub circuit, has established him as a real musical talent with plenty to offer. Melbourne Gospel Choir - The Melbourne Gospel Choir is made up of television, theatre and singing professionals, united in their common Christian faith, to create memorable vocal performances for Australian and international audiences.The choir has recorded three albums: A Christmas Prayer, For The Children and Freedom.

Discover a world of wonder as the Frankston Arts Centre is transformed into Santa’s North

Pole. There will be a hub of FREE children’s activities and entertainment including:

Fenix Fitness - Make sure you visit Fenix Fitness for lots of giveaways,

and free health and fitness testing.

Art and Craft - Make a decoration to take home or decorate a Christmas tree

with St Luke’s Anglican Church and Bunnings.

Leader Newspapers - Try your hand at the interactive

Newspaper Letterbox Competition.

Nativity Scene - All children are invited to

dress up and be a part of a traditional nativity

scene. Make sure you bring your camera to

capture the moment.

Live on Stage - Bananas in Pyjamas -

Join Australia’s favourite twins, B1 and B2 in their very

own live show. Featuring some of their much loved hit

songs as featured in their TV series and some fun dance

routines which all the boys and girls can follow along

with! Will they manage to get everything done in time

for Lulu’s birthday party or will they run out of

time having too much fun along the way?

Show Times: 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30.

Meet ‘n’ Greet - Come meet the most famous lion - Alex the Lion from Madagascar 3. While there you could give him a high five and if you have a camera why not grab a picture with him from 5:00pm - 8:30pm outside Frankston Arts Centre.

Santa’s House - 5:30pm-9:00pm Tell Santa what you would like for Christmas and receive a special gift when you visit Santa’s House at Cube 37. Nine News will be offering great activities and colouring competitions for everyone waiting to meet Santa. And remember, Santa will be at Centro Karingal the next day on Sunday, 25 November.

Dips, ducks, twists and turns around every corner

in the rides and amusements area, with gentler

rides for the young ones and just enough height

for the young at heart to get the best view of

the festival and across the bay.

Food Court - Bring your appetite to the

festival so you can indulge in delicious treats

including fine coffee, ice cream, eastern wraps,

potato twists, pizza, corn, sweet and savoury

bretzels, Nepalese dumplings and a variety of healthy and other options!

Brotherhood of St Laurence and Frankston Arts Centre -

A Frankston Christmas Carol - 37 Friends for Arts Sake have this

year created their own Frankston Christmas Carol. Nine extraordinary

Frankston resident seagulls will soar through the Glass Cube at Cube 37,

sharing with all, their colour and Christmas vibrancy.

Parents Retreat - The Parents Retreat area will be available in

Cube 37 - including nappy change and microwave facilities, toilets and

a member of the Breastfeeding Association in attendance.

Frankston Charitable Fund - Purchase a candle at the festival for $2 and help light

up the night as you sing along to the Carols and support the Frankston Charitable Fund.

Festival Road Closures and Detours - Davey Street, between Nepean Highway and Baxter Street, and Young Street, between Playne Street and High Street, will be closed from 5:00am, Saturday, 24 November until 3:00am, Sunday, 25 November. Suggested Parking - The immediate festival area is off limits to traffic and parking. We suggest using the following public car parking areas: Frankston Railway Station, Frankston Waterfront, Young Street, Bayside Entertainment Complex and Bayside Shopping Centre.

Pets - Strictly no pets allowed at the festival. Please ensure pets are safely restrained at home during the scheduled fireworks display at 9:30pm. Alcohol and Smoke Free Event - Drinking alcohol within the festival site is strictly prohibited and Festival Management and Victoria Police reserve the right to remove intoxicated persons. As this is a family-friendly event we ask patrons to refrain from smoking within the event site.

Public Safety - CCTV cameras will be in operation to assist Festival Management, Police and security to monitor anti-social behaviour to ensure a safe and enjoyable family event.
