Franklin High School now has an official Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Communications! Congratulations to Senior, Eloisa Rangel, for passing the Adobe Certified Associate Exam. It was not an easy task, but with all her hard work she did it. - Mr. Robles It is with great pleasure to announce the success with our 1st year of Adobe Certification in Visual Communications. This semester we had 5 students here at Franklin High School pass the Adobe Photoshop Exam. It was a long but successful process. Mr. Cruz gets selected as one of LAUSD’s Teacher Rookie of the Year! Over 1900 teachers were nominated and only 20 were selected! Nominees possessed qualities such as: instructional effectiveness; a positive classroom climate and effective classroom management that include strong routines and procedures in place; is dynamic and engages students; and demonstrates professionalism. Congratulations, Mr. Cruz! Congratulations, Mr. Robles! Congratulations Ms. Mikaelyan! Her Sixth Period student, Senior, Steve Flores, won 1st place in a classroom competition for the best business plan, which led him to a regional competition. All students who qualified for the regionals were eligible to apply for a USC scholarship to a take a business course this summer. Steve applied and went through an elaborate process consisting of essays and interviews and ended up being awarded the scholarship worth $8,000! Steve will spend a whole month at USC this summer staying in the dorms, taking a business class, and visiting big corporations every Friday!
