Welcome to Week 7 of Term 2. I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend.

Please make sure that even as we move into these winter months, that you send your child to school

with a hat each day. Broad brimmed hats are recommended but any hat is better than nothing. Students

who do not have a hat will be encouraged to play in the shade. All students involved in physical activity

will be encouraged to wear a hat where possible. Thank you for your support in keeping our kids safe.

It has been wonderful to see so many students from K-6 joining us for League Tag each lunch and recess.

This activity is completely voluntary and we are lucky to have so many staff willing to join and organise

games in their own time. We have over 60 students involved at the moment, spanning 5 year olds to 13

year olds, all playing and competing against one another. Physical activity is so important for our kids in

this day and age and this is one way that our school supports your child to stay fit, healthy and active.

We are in the process of applying for a new technology grant to support our Year 6 students as they tran-

sition to high school in 2021. If your child is in Year 6 this year then you will receive a phone call explain-

ing the grant and requesting permission for us to submit the grant on your behalf. If you have not yet

received this phone call then please contact myself or Nerida as soon as possible. We have rung every

Year 6 family and left a message where necessary.

Our new Prowise boards are being installed today. Thanks to Pete and Yvonne for all of their organisa-

tion in regards to this technology upgrade. Exciting times indeed for 65B, 65H and 65P who will be re-

ceiving the new boards. Also for Mrs Williams, Mrs Bekis and Mrs Inchley who will now have their very

own Prowise board to support their intervention and Professional Learning sessions.
