Francophonie online contest
The week of the French Speaking Countries and French Culture takes place from March 17th to March 25th 2012. Within the framework of the Francophonie events, the Embassy of France Cultural Service in Ireland and the Alliance Francaise in Dublin will organize an online contest for primary (grades 5 and 6) and secondary (1st and 2nd year) schools. • Theme: “Discover Francophonie and test your skills in French language!” This is a team contest, available at 2 different levels: Quiz bleu: questionnaire for grades 5 and 6, questions and answers in French Quiz rouge: questionnaire for 1st and 2nd year, questions and answers in French
Teams should be composed of a maximum of 8 students (but not less than 2 students per team). Each team will work under the responsibility of a teacher. • Organization: On Wednesday, February 29th, the 2 questionnaires will be available online from 9.30 to 12.30 am on the embassy’s website http://www.ambafrance-ie.org
Students will download the appropriate quiz (Word format) with the help of a teacher. They will then fill out the forms and answer the questions (a list of helpful websites will be suggested at the beginning of the quiz). Before 12.30 am, completed quizzes will be sent to the French Embassy’s Cultural Service by email to: [email protected] (please make sure that the attached file is the completed quiz) or by fax at: +353 1 676 9403 (please make sure that the file has been received by contacting Claire Rouquette)
Only quizzes received before 12.30 am will be accepted, each team can send one quiz only.
