ANANDA JYOTHI, NAGARJUNA NAGAR: Ananda Jyothi Novitiate has got a new look with many plants planted giving a new life to our garden. It has brought a wonderful ambience to our campus. On 29-30 Oct Fr ISF. Jeyaraj, attended Superiors’ Meet at Satyodayam, Secunderabad. Fr Amalanathan is preaching a month long retreat for the novices of ‘Sacred Heart of Jesus Congregation’ concluding it on 26th Nov 2020. 31st Oct was a memorable day to every one of us as we had two great feasts celebrated, namely, the feast of Rev. Fr Mathias Wolff, SJ, founder of JMJ Congregation and St Alphonse Rodriguez SJ, patron saint of Brothers of the Society of Jesus. The day was blessed with a Solemn Mass in the morning at JMJ convent. The novices took up the choir and sang melodiously. In the evening, we had a meaningful prayer service at Ananda Jyothi Retreat House for our Jesuit Brothers Bhoge and John, praying for them and honouring them on the feast day. On 2nd Nov, we had a ‘Satsung’ for the novices, wherein we had a heartfelt open sharing about our life lived here at the Novitiate. It was very helpful and fruitful. On 3rd Nov, we started our ‘Work Experiment’ within our campus with a lot of enthusiasm. Due to Corona Pandemic, we decided to have this experiment within our campus under the able guidance of Fr Thambi and Br Bhoge. On 5th Nov we had the birthday celebration of Fr Thambi with a short cultural programme, in which we shared our joy and love for him. We had a meaningful Eucharistic Celebration and Volley Ball match which increased our happiness. All the Jesuits in the community encouraged us and participated in the memorable event.Ananda Jyothi Retreat House was profoundly blessed with God’s blessings. In the month of Nov the house was fully occupied with a number of retreats and spiritual directions. Fr ISF. Jeyaraj preached eight day retreat for two different groups of Holy Cross, Tenali and Little Sisters of the Poor, Nambur. Fr C. Alex preached two retreats for M.C. Brothers, Nunna, Vijayawada.
