May 18, Saturday, Day 1 – DEPART USA on an overnight flight to Belgrade. Dinner and breakfast are served on the plane.

May 19, Sunday, Day 2 – BELGRADEArrival in Belgrade, where you are greeted by your Serbian English speaking tour escort and transferred to your hotel. You have some time at leisure to become acclimated to a new time zone. Tonight we have a visit to the Kalemegdan Fortress followed by a welcome dinner with music in the bohemian part of the town called Skadarlija. (D) (Drinks are not included.) May 20, Monday, Day 3 – BELGRADEFollowing buffet breakfast at the hotel, we visit Saborna Crkva and the Patriarchy com-pound, including the Patriarchy itself, the Serbian Orthodox Church Museum and Konak Knjeginje Ljubice. Our next stop is the White Palace, home of the Karadjordjevic family for a tour. We see other highlights of Belgrade before our city tour ends in the city center. After-noon at leisure to explore on your own. Overnight in Belgrade. (B)

May 21, Tuesday, Day 4, BELGRADE – VALJEVO – ZLATIBOR Following breakfast, we depart for Valjevo, where we see the old town and Monastery Lelic to see the incorrupt body of St. Nikolaj Velimirovic. We arrive Zlatibor Mountain resort area, settle into our hotel and enjoy the rest of the day to relax and explore this beautiful area. Dinner and overnight in Zlatibor. (B, D)

May 22, Wednesday, Day 5, ZLATIBOR – SIRIGOJNO – DRVENGRAD – MOKRA GORAFollowing breakfast, we depart for Sirogojno Open Air Museum, which reflects traditional life in a Serbian village. Continue to Mokra Gora and Sarganska Osmica where we take a ride on the ancient train “Cira” through the picture perfect mountain range. We visit Kremna, to see where the famous brothers Tarabic predicted major events in Serbia’s future, and then on to Drvengrad, the cultural and ethnic attraction built by the famous Serbian film wizard Emir Kusturica. Visit the Mecavnik ethnic village where you enjoy a delicious dinner in a local restaurant. Return to Zlatibor for an overnight. (B, D)

May 23, Thursday, Day 6 – ZLATIBOR – VISEGRAD – TREBINJE Today is a busy day as we leave early towards Bosnia for a look at the famous “Bridge over river Drina” immortalized in the Nobel Prize winners book of the same name by the author Ivo Andric. Lunch. Continue through the magnificent scenery to Trebinje and Western Her-cegovina. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Trebinje. (B, L)

May 24, Friday, Day 7 – TREBINJE – OSTROG – IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ST. VASILIJE OF OSTROGWe depart for Montenegro and the Monastery of Ostrog for a visit. We will the St. Vasilije incorrupt body and explore both the Upper and the Lower Basilicas. Then we visit the birth-

May 25, Saturday, Day 8 – TREBINJE – ADRIATIC A full day at leisure to relax today as we are only a short drive from the Adriatic sea and the incredibly beautiful cities of Herceg Novi, Kotor, Budva, and Dubrovnik. The group can decide which cities to visit today, perhaps have a swim or just hang out and explore Trebinje. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Trebinje. (B)

May 26, Sunday, Day 9 – TREBINJE – KOPAONIK We celebrate the Divine Liturgy at Mala Gracanica Church in Trebinje before driving through Montenegro on a full day journey to Kopaonik where we have dinner and an overnight. Lunch stop en route. (B, L, D)

May 27, Monday, Day 10 – SERBIAN MONASTIC TREASURESToday we visit three Serbian cultural and religious gems. Monastery of Zica, is magnificent, more like a castle surrounded by walls with lovely churches inside the walls. It was built be-tween 1205-1208 by the first King of Serbia – Stephan II Nemanjic, who was later crowned in this monastery as the first head of the Serbian Church and who was the father of Saint Sava. Here Saint Sava became the first Serbian archbishop. We also see the Monastery of Sopo-cani, famous for numerous frescoes and built by Uros I Nemanjic and Studenica, the most beautiful of all the monasteries which are dedicated to the Presentation of the Holy Virgin and represents the main church of all Serbian temples. Dinner and overnight at Kopaonik. (B, D)

May 28, Tuesday, Day 11 – KOSOVO We visit the Serbian Sacred Land of Kosovo, and its most valuable and sacred monasteries Dečani and Pećka Patrijaršija. Dinner and overnight in Kopaonik. (B, L, D)

May 29, Wednesday, Day 12 – OPLENAC – SERBIAN ROYAL TRADITIONS Today we depart for royal Oplenac and historic Topola located in the beautiful landscape of endless meadows and valleys in the heart of Serbia. We see where the Karadjordjevic Dynasty is buried and visit the Royal compound and the church in Oplenac. In Topola we see the place of the First Serbian Uprising by Karadjordje. We have lunch in a traditional rural home and stop for a tour of the Aleksandrovic Winery considered one of the best in Serbia for a tour and wine tasting. We arrive in Belgrade late this afternoon. Dinner is at leisure. (B, L)

May 30, Thursday, Day 13 – BELGRADEA day at leisure in Belgrade or enjoy an optional visit to Vojvodina including Sremski Karlovci, Fruska Gora Monasteries and Novi Sad*. Farewell dinner in the traditional Serbian restaurant Daca with local wine and music. (B, Special Dinner.)
