CHECK LIST FOR VIRTUAL MASS CELEBRATION

You may want to set a table like an Altar.

You can put a piece of white fabric on it to represent the color of Easter, our

current Liturgical season.

If you have a Bible, Crucifix, candles, Rosary or other religious items you can decorate the Altar with them.

Perhaps you want to change the

seating or add some pillows to the floor to kneel on.

As you participate at the Mass via stream, remember to say the responses, sing the songs, say the

Our Father, etc.

After saying a prayer for Spiritual Communion,

“Break Bread” together even though it is not the Eucharist, it

can be a powerful symbol.

During Mass the Prayer for Pandemic will be prayed.

All will be well! I pray we focus on what sustains us and endures…

...not on what is passing

Every Sunday during the Easter Season!!!! Except if it is raining..........

After the 10 AM Mass every Sunday during the Easter Season, Fr. Tomasz and Deacon Chris will be offering Easter Blessings to anyone that wants to drive through the parking lot of the Church.

Please enter from the East Street entrance.

A special Thank You to the Northbridge Police Department for directing traffic each Sunday.

May 17, Utilities

I always thought global pandemic was something out of a doomsday movie. I watched

a couple over the years and they always gave me nightmares. When COVID started

coming up in the news, I blew it off like the snowstorm of the century. I was pregnant

during Y2K and did not favor the thought of spending eternity 9 months pregnant with

my son. After all that hype, nothing happened not even a glitch.

Obviously this is much, much different. As a parish staff we have heard from many

people living different aspects of this. We have spoken with nurses on the frontline

being the only human contact with a patient as they die. Conversations have been had with our funeral

directors and all they are going through right now. Some conversations have been with family of COVID

patients, those that survived and those that didn’t. We have had zoom calls with some of our high school

seniors that are grieving the loss of all the final moments and activities. There have been parents who are

struggling to balance working from home and educating their children and then those people who are out of

work due to then pandemic. I personally have had long conversations with my daughter who has to postpone

her wedding.

As we move forward though, I am realizing how blessed I am. I have been grateful for the simple things. I

am able to work at both of my jobs. My family is all healthy and safe. I work with a parish staff that makes

me laugh till my stomach hurts and supports me in so many ways. We are all a part of a parish community

that is growing and thriving and doing all we can during this time to be “together” without being together.

I am so grateful for technology. I have Face Timed, texted, emailed, Zoomed, posted to Facebook and

Instagram. I have been able to connect with both our students and adults. In the coming week I have set

up zoom meetings with grades 6-10 to just check in and see how they are doing.

I am grateful for things I took for granted like toilet paper or a simple stop at the grocery store. It is much

different to shop with gloves and a mask and know if I forgot something it will be awhile till I get back. But in

all of this, my family has everything we need to be safe and fed.

In my reading this week I came across James 1:2-3 “Whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an

opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow”. Through

Facebook and Instagram posts I have seen you doing this. The creative and innovative ways to keep busy,

celebrate milestones, keep in touch with family are all amazing. I know it is hard but I hope during this

pandemic while the world is on pause you can find joy and realize how you have grown stronger.

Aileen

Do You have Prayer Requests?

Please go to www.mystpatricks.com and submit your prayer requests on our website. We will place the intentions in front of the altar during our live stream Masses on Saturday at 4:30 PM and Sunday at 10:00 AM Masses. The power of prayer cannot be underestimated. When we pray miracles happen. Faith and Love is the anchor for us in these times. May God’s peace be with you and your loved ones. Fr. Tomasz and the St. Patrick’s Team

Pray for business owners and families facing financial stress.

Jesus, we thank You for Your faithfulness in how you have guided and equipped people in their jobs and have provided in the past. It can be scary and overwhelming not knowing how bills and obligations will be met or to not be able to provide for families. As people feel financial strain during the uncertainty, bring them comfort and peace, reminding them that You are there for them. Provide for them in their times of need. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.—John 14:27 (NIV)

It was so much fun helping with VBS last year. The kids were amazing to work with. If you would like to help please contact [email protected].

More Information will be provided in future bulletins.

The Knights of Columbus will again be sponsoring a “BABY SHOWER” on the weekend of May 9 & 10 (Mother’s Day weekend).

During these difficult times, it is important to reach out to help those mothers and their ba-

bies in need at Problem Pregnancy in Worcester. We will again be setting up a port-a-crib that will be available in both St. Patrick's and St. Peter’s parish for donations on Friday, April 24. Donations needed include any infant essentials, clothing up to size 18 months and new or gently used strollers, car seats, pack & plays and maternity clothes. Any articles can be dropped off by placing them in the port-a-crib at each church during the week or after each mass during the weekends. Anything that you can offer will be greatly appreciated for the mothers who have decided to keep their babies. If you have any questions, please call Rich Green at 508-341-3875 or Lou Pepin at 508-234-6664. Please consider helping the Knights in this worthy cause.
