It’s Not Too Late!Looking for a unique gift this Christmas, Snyder’s Gift

Catalog is your answer. The gift catalog contains many gift ideas that will benefit our 3 international partnerships. There are also some local giving ideas as well. You may purchase the gifts with cash, check or even online giving, but you must accompany your payment with a gift card, so we know where to send the money. The gift catalog will help us continue to invest in the re-lationships of our partnership with

Haiti, Kenya and Myanmar. The gift catalogs are available around the church and gifts may be purchased online.

Thank you to all who brought food to the Singing Christmas Tree. We collected 5320 pounds of food! Fayetteville Urban Min-istries, His Bread of Life Food Bank and Operation Blessing

Pastor’s Perspective Knowing this is my last pastor’s perspective of 2017, I find myself reflecting on

the past year and what profound words I might want to share as we close out the year. Only two come to mind. Thank you. This is a great church. And it is great because of the people who call Snyder Memorial Baptist Church their church home. The church, as much as any institution I know, relies heavily on volunteers to do all that God has called us to do and to be who He has called us to be. This church would come to a screeching halt very quickly without the countless volunteers that go about serving without any fanfare. Teachers. Nursery workers. Ushers and greeters. Committee members. Deacons. Choir members. Children’s choir leaders. Musicians. Bell ringers. Grounds keepers. Vehicle maintainers. And countless others who quietly go about doing their part in the body of Christ. To each and every one of you, I say thank you!

There are many who give faithfully throughout the year. Every gift to our ministry resource plan counts. No matter the amount. It takes a lot of money to do what we do every year. It takes a lot more to give as much as we give to missions – over a million dollars last year. But there are other financial requirements that depend on the generosity and faithfulness of God’s people. Salaries for the ministers, ministry assistants, musicians, kitchen and custodial staffs. Robust ministries for children, youth and adults. Operating and maintenance costs for a facility as large as ours. Our effectiveness as a church depends on the faithful giving of our members. Many of us are being bombarded by appeals from a lot of organizations for end-of-year donations to help their worthy causes. But there is nothing that compares to the work of Christ’s church. An investment in things of eternal value. I am very grateful for those who love the Lord and give faithfully to Him thru the local church for His glory and the growth of His kingdom.

But my gratitude extends beyond the things that our church does to what our church is. The body of Christ. An extremely warm and loving community. A big church that feels like a small church. We are family. God’s family. I see and feel that every day in the way we love each other, and take care of one another, and work to-gether to serve our God. And so, as we close out another year together, I just want to say thank you!

See you Sunday! ~ John
