The Word Introduction – Word of God •A Believer’s life is incomplete without the Word of God•Every born again child of God must desire to know more and more of God’s word – our necessary spiritual food•The Word of God must reflect in every aspect of how we live•The more equipped we are with God’s Word, the easier it becomes to live according to His principles• Jesus is referred to as God’s Word – Jesus is the Word – 1 John 1:1-3 •God does not do anything outside His Word•God’s Word is ACTIVE – Gen 1:3, Gen 1:26, Is 55:10-11

• What is the Word of God? – The Word of God is the mind of God, spoken

to us through the Holy Scriptures and confirmed in our hearts by His Spirit.

– It is inspired by God – Accurate , Authentic, a final Authority, Complete and Balanced – Ps 119:89, 2 Pet 1:20-21

– Also called the Holy Scriptures and the Law of the Lord – Ps 119

thirst after it, so that we may grow - 1 Peter 2:2 and to grow we need to:– Study the Word - James 1:22-23– Speak it - Mark 11:23– Act on it - James 2:17-22– Believe it - James 2:23, Hebrews 10:36-37

• We must meditate upon like our daily food – John 6:51 • A true believer cannot live outside the Word of God – Psalm 1 • Backed by unwavering faith, we can defeat the accuser and

overcome in spiritual warfare with the armor of God – the Word of God
