Coming to a busnear you!Foundation 2 is
pleased to
announce that our
TransitionalLiving Program(TLP) recentlypurchased ad
space on three Cedar Rapids City busses. Our ad, pictured on the
right hand side of this page, discusses the doors that are opened to
youth, ages 16-21, who participate in our program. We strongly
believe that TLP not only promotes independence for young
adults, but also creates new opportunities for success for the
young adults we serve. Foundation 2's TLP busses will run
throughout the community for twelve months.

Welcome to Foundation 2!
PromotingIndependenceFoundation 2 is
pleased to
announce the debut
of two digital
billboard letting
the community
know about our
Transitional Living Program. Based on the theme "promoting
independence," our digital billboards are currently located at 1-
380/64th Street and 120 Collins Road NE in Cedar Rapids.
If you were directed to Foundation 2's website from a digital
billboard, here is information about our Transitional LivingProgram. Foundation 2's Transitional Living Program (TLP) isdesigned to provide housing, skills training and supportservices to young adults ages 16-21 for whom family livingor residential treatment is no longer an option. Program
apartments are located throughout the community. Staff maintain
close contact with participants. Furnishings are provided by the
program. If a participant successfully completes the program, he
or she may keep these items.

Survivors share pain of suicidesThe following article appeared in the Des MoinesRegister recently. Written by Daniel P. Finney, it shares
the stories of several Iowans who have lost a child to
suicide in hopes that their experiences will help others
who are grieving the loss of a child.
Foundation 2 staff person, Nancy Oehlert, who leads our
Survivors of Suicide Support Group, was consulted in thepreperation of this article. If you or someone you know has lost a
loved one to suicide, we invite you to join our Survivors of
Suicide Suppor Group, which meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday
of every month at the Foundation 2 Administrative Office. Call
