forwarding to a friend with mailchimp
TRANSCRIPT
Forward not
FWDNever use your email client’s “FWD” feature to send the same email to masses of people.
Two very good reasons not to are:1. People delete emails when
they see “FWD” in the subject.
2. People click on “unsubscribe” and remove You from the company’s newsletter list.
So what’s a girl (or guy) to do?
SimpleUsing the “Forward to Friend” button, or a similar link in the bottom/footer of the email you can easily send an email to someone you think would appreciate it.
When you use this method a new window or tab will open in your Internet browser, asking you for the name and email of the person you wish to send it to, as well as your name and email.
You will also be given a space to write a personal message like, “Hi Karen, I saw this and thought you would be able to use this for what you are doing.”
If you don’t use the “Forward to Friend” feature and simply “FWD” your email,
you might be unsubscribed from the list by one of
your recipients – and never know it!

To send to a lot of people and save time, enter a generic enough message here. MailChimp will keep the message after you click send, reload the page and let you send the same notice to another person.
