2. Formulating Hypotheses
Begins with an assumption called Hypothesis.
Hypothesis
Claim (assumption) about a population parameter.
An unproven proposition or supposition that tentatively explains certain facts or phenomena.
A proposition that is empirically testable.
3. What is Hypothesis testing
A set of logical and statistical guidelines used to make decisions from sample statistics to population characteristics.
4. Hypotheses Testing

The intent of hypothesis testing is to formally examine two opposing conjectures (hypotheses),H0and HA.

5. These two hypotheses are mutually exclusive and exhaustive. 6. Sample information is collected and analysed.
