Real woods or stones don’t repeat!

To solve this, Formica Group has raised the bar with the use of innovative printing technology, delivering a collection of large scale designs that captures every little nuance of natural stone in true scale without the repetition of décor pattern!

A décor repeat is typically the giveaway factor of using HPL in large scale application areas. This is because a regular HPL décor repeat is approximately 600 – 750 mm wide which is only able to fit usual applications sizes like worktops or kitchen doors.

Carbon Reduction Label

Formica Group becomes the first laminate manufacturer in the world to be

awarded with Carbon Trust’s Carbon Reduction Label.

Formica Group is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to reducing its global

environmental impact by undergoing carbon footprint assessment and labelling

products with the Carbon Reduction Label.

Formica Group is pleased to announce that it has measured the carbon footprint

for its range of High Pressure Laminates (HPL), Continuous Pressure Laminates

(CPL), Compact Laminates and Bonded Worktops, which is now qualified to

carry the Carbon Trust’s Carbon Reduction Label.

FSC™ Chain of Custody Certification

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™) advocates on the environment

responsible, socially acceptable and economically viable ways to manage the

world’s forests. FSC™ Chain of Custody certification is awarded to companies

that can track and document FSC™ certified material through the production

process, from the forest to the consumers, including all successive stages of

procurement, processing, manufacturing, distribution and sale of certified

goods. With the FSC™ COC certifications, it will mean that the product is

manufactured from ‘responsible sources’.

In 2012, Formica Asia (covering China, Taiwan and Thailand) has been

awarded with FSC™ Chain of Custody Certification.

GREENGUARD Certification

Formica Group has taken significant steps to ensure that its products promote a healthy

indoor air quality in homes, offices, schools and other indoor environments. According to

the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the most effective way to reduce

indoor air pollution is to reduce or eliminate harmful chemical emissions. Formica® takes

pride in meeting the strict emissions limits of the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute

and in achieving GREENGUARD® Certification for Indoor Air Quality for Formica®

Laminates.

Formica® Laminates, Compact® and DecoMetal® are certified in Asia for the GREENGUARD

Certification and GREENGUARD Gold Certification.
