2. Ngala Gap Analysis update (Implementation progress to-date)

UNICEF : Health talk and hygiene promotion ongoing in both IDP camps on

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through community volunteers. Saturdays environmental sanitation The drilling of one motorize borehole in IS camp is ongoing Planned to drill one motorize borehole in Kanumburi pump house

community. Distributed hygiene kits to 500 household centred to new arrivals

from Febuary 2018 to date in Arabic camp. Planned to upgrade two motorize borehole in Gamboro communities

Fhi360 : Saturdays General camp clean-up campaign ongoing in both camps. House to house hygiene promotion session ongoing in both camps. Conducting water quality test and chlorination of water points in both

camps. Distribution of fuel for powering water point generators in both

camps. Distributed 17 set of latrine cleaning tools and replenishment of IZAL

to 9 bulamas in both camps as requested. Concluded the registration of 1000 (590 HH in Arabic camp and 410

HH in ISS Camp mostly aged people, widows, caregiver, people with disabilities and child headed household centred to new arrivals) and household beneficiaries for hygiene kits in both camps.

Planned distribution of 1000 hygiene kits in both camps

Solidarites Hygiene promotion is ongoing in ISS Camp Installation of 34 blocks of five stances latrine and 17 blocks of five

stances bath showers, so far, installations of 14 blocks of five

stances latrine and 5 blocks of five stances bath showers is completed in ISS camp while 5 blocks of 5 stances latrine is ongoing.

Drilling of one motorize borehole in international school IDP camp is ongoing at 30% level of work.

Rehabilitation of solar powered motorize borehole in Bash ward in the host community is at 95% level of completion, waiting for the tank painting.

Dislodgement of latrines pending on when the dumping site will be ready.

Reticulation of two tap stances in Ngala town is ongoing.

MSF Sensitisation in both camp and host community on hygiene

promotion and other aspect of WASH Tools on ground for channelling the water in the host community to

IS camp All managed water points by MSF are in fully operational. The 40 community volunteers in both IDP camps and host community

are fully engage into Sensitization and hygiene promotion sessions.

and 24 CHV are divided into Gamboro word B and word C host communities. While the remaining 6 CHV work in the Health facility in Gamboro.

Construct an incinerator in the health facility for proper management of waste

Plan to drill one motorize borehole and one block of Latrine in Intersos Health facility located at Old secretariat in Gamboro town.

Waiting for contractor for drilling of one motorize borehole and one hand pump in Arabic camp.

Plan to rehabilitate one Hand pumps in opposite the health facility in Gamboro word C Host communities.

Plan to rehabilitate one borehole in Arabic camp behind FHI360 Clinic in Ngala.

Construction of 45 latrines and 11 bath showers is ongoing in the Arabic camp out of 63 blocks.

Engauge 10 un-skills persons on cash for work in the Arabic of which they will be train later as WASHCOM on maintenance of latrines and bath showers.

4. IOM Selected and recruitment of 8 outreach workers.Repairs of 25 blocks of bath showers in ISS Camp is ongoing

WASH cluster meeting emphasis on water quality testing and treatment

Does partner founded by OFDA should adhere to SPHERE Standard guidelines were the following is to be considered, One stance of latrine per 20 peoples. 250 peoples per tap, 500 people per hand pump.

Global WASH Coordination meeting will be held in Berlin 10TH to 11th

April 2018, FHI360 WASH sector will represent Nigeria WASH Cluster.
