A large number of different ecosystems between the departments of Guainia and Vichada are making of Inirida a plan for the most avid bird watchers of the world. Arrival at Inirida, bird watching in Caño Culebra / Hotel Fuente de Guainia We will take daily flight to the municipality of Puerto Inirida, in the department of Guainia, where our staff will be waiting for us in 4 x 4 vehicles to take us to the hotel; in the afternoon after lunch we´ll visit the village of Caño Culebra where we will be focused on some good species of the white areas like the Black Manakin, Rufous-crowned Elaenia, Pale- bellied Mourner, Common Scaled Antbird and many more. Night in Hotel Fuente de Guainia Tuesday, Nov 7th - Day 3. Bird watching in the Matraca trail and Laguna Negra / Hotel Fuente de Guainia

Sunday, Nov 5th - Day 1. Arrival at Bogota, transfer to Black Tower Hotel This day the participants will arrive from different parts of the country or abroad to the El Dorado airport in Bogota, where one of our representatives will wait for them to be transferred to the hotel. (In the afternoon) Night in hotel Black Tower Bogota Monday, Nov 6th - Day 2. Early in the morning we will take a boat towards the trail of Matraca, an amazing forest of Varzea which leads to the indigenous community Curripaco of Matraca, we will be bird watching throughout the morning and focused on some of the best species of Inirida as the Orinoco Softail, Black-spotted Bare-eye, Rose-breasted Chat, Varzea Schiffornis, Blue-throated Piping-Guan, Blue-crowned Trogon, Green-tailed Jacamar, Blackish-gray Antshrike, Dot-winged Antwren, Dot-backed Antbird, Slender-billed Xenops, Velvet-fronted Grackle and many more. In the afternoon and after lunch we will take a boat to Laguna Negra, a beautiful body of water located on the Guaviare River where we can observe some incredible aquatic species and others of importance as the: Antshirke New Specie, Hoatzin, Horned Screamer, Black-capped Donaconius, Amazonian Umbrellabird, Pied Lapwing, Sunbittern, Sungrebe, White-eared Jacamar, Masked Crimson-Tanager, Red-capped Cardinal, Green Oropendola, Olive Oropendola, and some incredible mammals species such as the giant Otter and the pink river dolphin. Without a doubt this will be one spectacular day in the basin of the Orinoco River. Night in Hotel Fuente de Guainia

Wednesday, Nov 8th - Day 4. Birdwatching in Caño Carbon & Sabanitas / Hotel Fuente de Guainia This day we´ll leave early in the morning to the community of Sabanitas where we will meet a local indigenous Guide, at first we will look for the Bare-necked Fruitcrow around the community and other species such as the Green-tailed Goldenthroat, Golden-spangled Piculet, Plumbeous Euphonia, Black-headed Parrot among others. Then we will enter the Caño Carbon trail where our main objective will be to see the icon of Indira, the incredible Capunchinbird; in the trail we can observe other very good bird species like the Collared Puffbird, Yapacana Antbird, Silvered Antbird, Ringed Woodpecker, Red-shouldered Tanager, Citron-bellied Attila, Plumbeous Euphonia, Brown Jacamar Rufous-tailed Flatbill and many more; after a typical Curripaco lunch called Ajicero, we will observe birds along the road that leads to Inirida, there we will see some good species of birds such as the Scarlet, Chestnut-fronted and Red and Green Macaw, Pardise Jacamar, Gilded Barbet, Paradise Tanager, Tourquoise Tanager, White-crowned Manakin and many more. Night in Hotel Fuente de Guainia Thursday, Nov 9th - Day 5. Tour to the Cerros de Mavecure & Comunidad de Venado /

Hotel Fuente de Guainia This is one of the greatest days of the trip, where we will visit the iconic and legendary Cerros de Mavecure, an incredible rock formation that rises in the middle of the forests of the basin of the Orinoco river, a sacred place for many indigenous communities and inhabitants of this place. Around the hills, it´s possible to see some good species of birds like Cliff Flycatcher, Orange-breasted Falcon, Capped Heron among others. After the visit to Mavecure, we will travel to the Comunidad de Venado, where with help from one of the local guides we will visit a beautiful forest and the savannahs of white sand with lots of "Flor de Inírida" plants, a type of bromeliad species of the place. Some of the species that can be found there include the White-browed Purpletuff, White-naped Seedeater, Spangled Cotinga, Cherrie´s Antwren, Bronzy

Jacamar, Red-necked Woodpecker and many more. The boat tour from Mavecure to Inirida is without a doubt one of the best sunsets that nature can give us, a good time to enjoy the colombian amazonia. Night in Hotel Fuente de Guainia

Friday, Nov 10th - Day 6. Bird watching in Caño Vitina and flight to Bogotá Early in the morning we will visit the savannahs of white sands of Caño Vitina, there our main focus will be the Pompadour Cotinga, the Cinereous Tinamu, Lafresnaye´s Piculet, Orinoco Piculet, Yellowish Pipit and the White-naped Seedeater, when we are done in Inirida, we will return to the hotel to pack our bags for a flight to Bogota, where we'll end this fantastic tour in the Colombian Orinoco basin. Night in hotel Black Tower Bogota Saturday, Nov 11th - Day 7. Flight back to Bogotá to connect with your international flight home (international flights are not included).

Some days we can take picnic lunches so we don´t have to leave the site and waste time. The weather can be unpredictable, with rain and sun. At higher altitudes, it can be cold. We have an incredible opportunity to take photographs for many species of hummingbirds and other species that come to the feeders, we will also look for a good number of species that are rare and rarely seen, but we will go to areas that are home to these species.
