FreeZone Freeze Dry Systems use a refrigerant, which is environ- mentally safe. The refrigerant is non-flammable and contains no ozone-damaging chlorofluoroearbons (CFCs). The upright stain- less steel collector chamber efficiently removes water and simplifies the defrosting process. The CFC-free refrigeration system cools collector to -50°C (-58°F). Epoxy coated steel cabinet with work surface and leveling feet. The LCD readout indicates vacuum, col- lector temperature and alarm messages. The LED vacuum and temperature "waves" illuminate amber when vacuum and tempera- ture levels are out of range for adding samples. The illumination changes to green when conditions are right to add samples. Auto- matic start-up switch with manual override for collector cool down and vacuum pull down. The 4.5L model includes a permanently installed 10-port drying chamber and a 1/3hp refrigerated system. The 6L model has a 3' diameter port for connection of accessories and includes a 1/2hp refrigeration system. The optional stoppering tray dryer on the 6L model has 3 shelves and is suitable for pro- cessing either batch samples or bulk product. The 6L model with- out stoppering tray dryer requires a drying chamber or manifold for operation. All models require a vacuum pump to operate. The 4.5L models should be used with a vacuum pump with a minimum capacity of 90L/rain. and the 6L models require a pump with a mlmmum capacity of 150L/rain. Includes a 3-wire cord with a 20am p plug and 3 feet of 3/#, ID vacuum hose and two clamps for vacuum oumo connection. For operation on 115 volts, 6OHz., 7 amps. (6L monels require 9amps and stoppering tray requires 18.8 amps)
